ST. ALBANS, W.Va. -- A St. Albans man was seriously injured Sunday when he smashed into a car on U.S. 60.
Capt. James Agee of the St. Albans Police Department said Zachary Crede, 24, recently from St. Albans, was riding a motorcycle west on U.S. 60 at about 6 p.m. when a car driven by Jo Ann Keefer, 83, pulled onto U.S. 60 into Crede's path. Agee said Crede slammed into Keefer's car and was seriously injured.
Crede and a passenger on his motorcycle, Kristyn Walko, 26, were both taken to CAMC General Hospital. Agee said Walko's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. Both were under evaluation this morning, according to a nursing supervisor.
Agee said a second motorcyclist traveling behind Crede laid his motorcycle over to avoid Keefer's car, but was not seriously injured. Keefer was not hurt.Reach Rusty Marks at rustyma...@wvgazette.com or 304-348-1215.
