CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Kanawha County sheriff's deputies trailed two men walking in Belle and found two suspected methamphetamine labs on Monday.
Neighbors called police after seeing two suspicious men wearing backpacks along U.S. Route 60 near Witcher Creek Road, Cpl. Brian Humphreys said in a news release.
Deputies M.C. Dickerson and C.D. Lyons later spotted the men and began walking behind them to a house with an alleged meth lab. William Clifton Massey, 22, of Belle, and Robert Randall Meade, 34, both of Belle, were arrested and charged with operating a clandestine laboratory and conspiracy to operate a meth lab.
Humphreys said deputies obtained a search warrant to search another house on Witcher Creek Road and found a meth lab there. Jody Lee Dawson, 39, of Shrewsbury, and Emerald Diana Massey, 20, of Belle, were arrested and charged with drug charges.
All four were being held in South Central Regional Jail on Tuesday in lieu of $25,000 cash-only bails.
