CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Georgia fugitive wanted on charges of criminal attempt to commit murder on police officers and numerous armed robbery warrants was arrested Wednesday on Charleston's West Side.
Rashad Akeem Williams, 21, had been sought by the Macon Police Department for firing at police during an armed robbery, according to a news release by the U.S. Marshals Service.
Members of the Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Network Team found Williams while executing a search warrant at a house. He will be held at the South Central Regional Jail pending extradition. Authorities said he may face more charges related to this morning's arrest.
