CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A woman wanted on drug charges in Virginia was arrested during a traffic stop in Kanawha County on Sunday.
Capt. Sean Crosier of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department said Deputy Stephanie Adams was patrolling in the Cross Lanes area around 7 p.m. when she spotted a minivan with an expired inspection sticker driving on Big Tyler Road.
After stopping the van, Adams discovered that the driver, Jennifer Rebecca Barnhouse, 35, of Cross Lanes, was wanted by police in Front Royal, Va. on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Barnhouse was arrested as a fugitive from justice. She was in the South Central Regional Jail this morning awaiting extradition to Virginia.
