CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Police arrested a Charleston man who allegedly forced a woman and child into his truck at gunpoint near the Kanawha State Forest on Thursday.
Terry Fields, 27, was charged with brandishing a deadly weapon, domestic assault and domestic battery, according to a news release issued by Kanawha County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Sean Snuffer.
Witnesses said Fields pulled his truck off of Kanawha State Forest Drive and got out with a woman and child at about 1 p.m., Snuffer said. He allegedly then pulled out a gun and forced the woman and child back into the truck.
Deputies later located Fields and he was arrested without incident. He is currently being held in South Central Regional Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bail.
