BECKLEY, W.Va. -- The U.S. Marshals Service in Beckley said they found a teenage girl who was reported missing from her home in Florida.
On Dec. 26, authorities learned that the teenage girl was homeless and living on the streets in Beckley, according to a news release issued by the U.S. Marshals Service. The girl had been reported missing by her family in Citrus County, Fla., on Oct. 19.
Marshals discovered that the girl would be meeting someone on East Prince Street in Beckley on Dec. 26. Marshals were waiting and took the girl into protective custody at about 9:30 a.m.
Raleigh Circuit Judge H.L. Kirkpatrick ordered the teen held in a juvenile center in Huntington pending her return to Florida.
