W.Va. gas prices drop about a nickel in a week

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Gasoline prices are continuing to decrease in West Virginia.

AAA East Central said Tuesday the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded gas is down 4.9 cents in the past week to $3.82. That's a penny higher than the national average.

Prices range from $3.72 in Parkersburg to $3.90 in Martinsburg.

A year ago, gas prices averaged $4.10 in the Mountain State.
