CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Several candidates for statewide offices are vastly outraising their opponents.

Republican Patrick Morrisey collected $206,000 from May 21 through Sept. 23. Morrisey also loaned his campaign $200,000.

Morrissey is challenging Attorney General Darrell McGraw, a Democrat who raised less than $77,000. McGraw spent $22,300 to Morrisey's $351,000.

Treasurer John Perdue, another Democrat, raised $104,000 toward his re-election. That's four times as much as his Republican challenger, Senate Minority Leader Mike Hall.

Democratic state Auditor Glen Gainer raised $20,000, while GOP opponent Larry Faircloth received less than $500.

Other races are more even.

Republican Brian Savilla attracted $11,500 in his challenge of Secretary of State Natalie Tennant. She raised $7,000.

In the contest for agriculture commissioner, Republican Kent Leonhardt received $22,000 to the $35,000 for state Sen. Walt Helmick, a Democrat.
