CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- President Barack Obama won re-election more than a month ago, but West Virginia's electors are sticking with the GOP ticket.

Five Republicans are gathering at the state Capitol today. Each will cast one of West Virginia's electoral votes for Mitt Romney and running mate Paul Ryan.

The GOP nominees carried the state over Obama and Vice President Joe Biden with more than 62 percent of the vote. The Democrats lost in all 55 counties.

But Obama won in 26 states plus Washington, D.C., giving him 332 electoral votes to Romney's 206. Obama also attracted more than 51 percent of the popular vote nationally.

West Virginia's electors are Betty Ireland, John McCuskey, Sarah Minear, Mick Staton, and David Tyson.

Secretary of State Natalie Tennant is webcasting the meeting at www.wvsos.com .
