Kung Fu teacher, students fight off Pa. robber

PITTSBURGH -- A would-be robber got what one might expect when he tried to hold up a Pittsburgh Kung Fu studio: a free martial arts lesson.

Instructor Joshua Wang tells WPXI-TV that the armed man walked in as Wang finished teaching a class about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at his Win-Win Kung Fu Studio.

Wang says he grabbed the man's head and twisted it, then twisted other parts of the gunman's body while another student tried to wrestle away the man's gun.

Instead, Wang says, the "very strong'' robber was able to wriggle free and run away.

Pittsburgh police have not named any suspects or made any arrests.

Wang says the robbery was his "first time seeing something like that. In China, I never saw that.''
