  • Congress could use a few statesmen and a whole lot less of great politicians who have perfected the art of pandering.
  • The voter who blamed the problem in Washington on the idiot democrats has got to stop watching Fox or listening to Rush because it drops their IQ to zilch. The Democrats never swore their allegiance to Grover Norquist instead of America. The Republicans who signed the pledge should be tried for treason.
  • The dirty little secret in Washington is that the tax cuts for the so called 'middle class' have been the biggest driver of our budget deficits for over a decade. If [when] they are extended it will assure us of continued huge deficits and hasten our fast approaching day of reckoning. Fairy tale budgeting survives for a little while longer.
  • Every day I read the Gazette, new evidence surfaces as to why we need an elected West Virginia Board of Education. Are there any other people out there who agree? If so, what does it take to make this a reality?
  • I hope President Obama holds the line on raising taxes on the millionaires and billionaires. I don't understand why -- after you consider payroll and social security taxes -- my secretary is paying a higher percent of her income in taxes than Brad Pitt is.
