History major still looking for work
This history major is a beleaguered job-seeker. I'm not sure why I am continuously passed over. I bathe regularly, making my unique scent of humanity only bloodhound-detectable. I do lay claim to a characteristic witch nose (broken twice). Does this make employers think that I will conjure up stews with their well-seasoned parts?
I did have two previous job encounters of the part-time kind. One at a clothing store until it went out of fashion and doors closed, and the other at a kennel where I was chief operating pooper-scooper until the boss came down with a nasty nepotism bug. I was out and her niece was in.
I then tried to reel in potential employers with baited travel credentials but despite itchy feet scratched on three continents, soles scuffed on European cobblestones, sanded clean by the Egyptian Desert, then roughed up again on the great Wall of China and Mexican Pyramids, they just would not bite.
As I still was not deemed a good catch, I turned to volunteering with WV Forward. This did not render me any more employable than before. As a last resort, I decided to upload these words to the Reader's Forum in hopes of printed viability for potential employers to see my employment plea and hire me.
Our past leaders should be celebrated
I cannot understand why you chose to blast a past president of our United States celebrating the opening of a presidential library. No matter what political view you entertain in this great country, recognizing and honoring our past leaders is something that should be celebrated, not denigrated.
Your editorial is so despicable that one wonders what prompted such a vile review, other than your politics are so slanted that you should consider if you, in fact, may be the one at fault. There are two sides to every argument. I suggest that you take time to reconsider your reasoning and better justify your position using real facts, not the usual political pandering you have chosen to use.
