Mine inspectors should go to MSHA Mine Academy
Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin and the West Virginia Legislature should pass a law requiring all state mine inspectors to be sent to the MSHA Mine Academy in Beckley to be trained on how to conduct a rock dust survey. According to a Charleston Gazette article, no state citations have been written on coal dust or rock dust. That is why we need more education for the state mine inspectors. According to the Gazette there have been 1,125 mine dust samples taken and flunked, and the state has not issued a single dust citation, yet the state board hasn't written rules to be used as a basis for citations and fines.
E.J. Dionne is 100 percent wrong
Libertarianism does not have nearly as big an Achilles heel as socialism! Mr. E.J. Dionne is an employee who draws a paycheck for writing political and economic drivel. Whether he acknowledges it or not, the government in this would have done more damage and created more upheavals than any other force. The 20th century saw more destruction and warfare than any time before it. Here are really the guts of the situation in our lifetime. The socialist nations of Europe are leading us toward a situation of financial disaster. Instead of reducing the wealth of our nation and the world through mind numbing and spirit destroying regulation we need to inspire our people to embrace capitalism and economic freedoms and opportunity. Where you have real capitalism you offer opportunity to the poor to rise as far as their talent can take them. Under capitalism, the customer does not care about your background and your family. They correctly only are concerned about the quality of the product or service you have to offer. Mr. Dionne should have experienced or learned about capitalism. It would make him a much more knowledgeable, educated person. In my experience, he is 100 percent wrong!
