I write in response to the Gazette's editorial about "the war on women." The article basically supports the practice of abortion without restrictions. The author believes it is an attack on women for abortion clinics to operate without the inspections and safeguards that protect other medical clinics. Our government spends vast amounts of money to control every private business.
The war on innocent children and women might be better found in Dr. Gosnell's Philadelphia clinic providing abortion in macabre circumstances. The state of Pennsylvania ignored the murders and horrors that were inflicted on women there for 20 years. Every human being has a God given right to life and dignity.
It is ironic that an article on "war and women" should cite Bill Clinton as a champion of women's dignity.

Israel hurting hopes for peace
President Obama instructed Secretary of State John Kerry to try his best to encourage the Israelis and Palestinians to return to the table to negotiate for a peace process and hopefully a two-state solution, whereby both sides would live in peace.
Both sides agreed and their first meeting was held recently in Washington, D.C., with high hopes. The Palestinians responded by saying they will consider all issues. The Israelis responded by announcing they will now build 1,200 new apartments for Jewish settlers on the West Bank and East Jerusalem, considered to be Palestinian territory. Where is the justice here? Israel's decision has brought international condemnation, and rightfully so. Peace will never be achieved in the Holy Land under these conditions. God help them all!
