Walmart store won't match its online prices
I recently looked online, at walmart.com, at bike seats. I read reviews, but the ones I wanted were out of stock online, so I went to the store and bought both. The total was way higher than what it had shown online, $52.94 to be exact. I really wanted a good bike ride, so I bit the bullet, thinking it would take too long for them to be in stock online again.
The next day, I went back to the site, and both freaking seats were in stock again, at just over $15 each, a savings of $22! So I called the store manager, just to see what they had to say, and her reply was, "We don't have to match online prices."
So I said, "But it's Walmart, not another store."
She repeated that she doesn't have to match their price, so I said, "So you mean I should order from walmart.com, get those and then return the ones I bought last night for a full refund?" Her response was "Well, I can't stop you from doing that."
I can't believe that a company that wants to go out of their way to beat prices, won't even match their own price!
My advice is to buy online or wait until something is available online, because the brick-and-mortar store is a waste of your time and money.
