Letter on rivers brings back memories
I really enjoyed reading Mr. Smith's letter re: West Virginia rivers and the importance of preserving and protecting our rivers and land. I felt as if I had just had a conversation with my Dad (Ralph Williams who passed away a few years ago). He was born and raised in the Williams River area and often spoke of Dogway, Cranberry and our favorite spot, Tea Creek. I wish success for the Birthplace of Rivers National Monument. I was born in Richwood and my genealogy runs deep into Nicholas and Greenbrier counties.
Cato's loose rocks make hiking dangerous
For many years my dogs and I have enjoyed walking the trails at Cato Park, but this year the loose rocks make it dangerous for us to walk!
