No 'sides' in rejection of credible science
I agree with your comments (Science: Strange rejection) -- but -- many on the "other side" who understand the evidence for evolution have bought into a belief system that opposes genetically modified (GM) crops despite the extensive, credible scientific evidence that there are no risks to the health of humans or other animals from GM crops. In fact, there are many actual and potential nutritional and environmental benefits. My guess (not scientifically based) is that the anti-GM crowd is better educated, younger, of a higher economic status and are Democrats. So there are no "sides" in the rejection of credible science. "Muslim Turkey" has not approved GM crops in food so at least Turks are consistent in their rejection of science.
