To make a noticeable decrease in your electric bill, put your hot water heater on a timer (hardwired) or simply flip the breaker off when you go to work, etc. Turn it back on a few hours before you need it. Heating hot water once a day for a few hours when you need a shower will save money. Do laundry after your shower and use the preheat on your dishwasher.

McKinley still says coal ash is good for you. I think he may have sniffed some of it. Where is Alan?

After an entire season they are not freshmen. Huggs needs to have Beilein recruit for him. At least they get better and they graduate. Subtract the Beilein graduates and see what you have.

I just watched the worst two teams play for the state AAA basketball title that I have ever witnessed in my 53 years of watching the state play offs. If there are no better teams than what I saw, then end the series or find another way to choose the teams.

If women are entitled to free birth control meds, then I want free condoms.

David Benton, the weekend TV anchor who was arrested previously for DUI and again for stupidly driving on a revoked driver's license has nothing to worry about. He can always get a job at WCHS radio as a talk show host. They will hire him for sure, and the audience will call in and gush praise on him.

Thank you for the Science page in the Sunday paper; I look forward to it every week.

I was driving on the interstate recently and the woman in the car beside me was smoking a cigarette with one hand, holding a cell phone in the other, and driving with her elbows. Now that's scary. What are people thinking?

The court system needs to get tough and stop being so lenient. Anyone harming a child should be locked up and throw the key away and for murder, they should be put to death.
