To make a noticeable decrease in your electric bill, put your hot water heater on a timer (hardwired) or simply flip the breaker off when you go to work, etc. Turn it back on a few hours before you need it. Heating hot water once a day for a few hours when you need a shower will save money. Do laundry after your shower and use the preheat on your dishwasher.
McKinley still says coal ash is good for you. I think he may have sniffed some of it. Where is Alan?
After an entire season they are not freshmen. Huggs needs to have Beilein recruit for him. At least they get better and they graduate. Subtract the Beilein graduates and see what you have.
I just watched the worst two teams play for the state AAA basketball title that I have ever witnessed in my 53 years of watching the state play offs. If there are no better teams than what I saw, then end the series or find another way to choose the teams.
The state car seen at Kohl's on March 13 was most likely an employee from out of town attending a function and the state car which they are required to use was the mode of transportation available to eat dinner and shop as one normally does during evening hours and at least they were giving back to commerce and not abusing welfare services.
I find it very interesting that many of the same politicians who hounded Century Aluminum into keeping promises are turning a deaf ear to the call for owners of the dog track to keep theirs. Typical Democrats.
Many thanks to the Gazette-Mail for printing the opinions of Charles Krauthammer on Saturdays. This outstanding journalist tells it like it is, so if you have not followed his column, I suggest you start doing so soon. This is one very intelligent man.
If women are entitled to free birth control meds, then I want free condoms.
David Benton, the weekend TV anchor who was arrested previously for DUI and again for stupidly driving on a revoked driver's license has nothing to worry about. He can always get a job at WCHS radio as a talk show host. They will hire him for sure, and the audience will call in and gush praise on him.
Thank you for the Science page in the Sunday paper; I look forward to it every week.
I was driving on the interstate recently and the woman in the car beside me was smoking a cigarette with one hand, holding a cell phone in the other, and driving with her elbows. Now that's scary. What are people thinking?
The court system needs to get tough and stop being so lenient. Anyone harming a child should be locked up and throw the key away and for murder, they should be put to death.

Thanks to the WVSSAC for remembering our friend Damon West, ultimate fan, at the West Virginia high school basketball tournaments.
This White House has put this country behind 20 years because of the class warfare that the president is hired to stir up. Where are we going when this country turns out like Greece? Good luck.
I have ground moles in my yard, and I wondered if somebody could tell me how to get rid of them, please.
These playoffs in basketball and March Madness and all that, why don't they leave them off the other channels and put them on ESPN. Not everybody wants to watch that.
Dave Hickman needs to write more about Bob Huggins. He writes about other coaches. This was his worst coaching year, and he should have had that team ready to play in Pittsburgh, and that was a disgrace the way they showed up and got beat by Gonzaga, and he should have been ready and needs to take more of the blame for what happened in this tournament and in the Big East tournament.
To the very tiny-minded liberal who keeps turning all the Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck books around backwards and upside down in the Riverwalk Kroger, stop it.
To Coach Huggins and his basketball staff as well as several other WVU coaches, I would like to suggest you trash can all those black uniforms you've been wearing and burn them and start wearing the gold and blue. Perhaps things will change and we're going to have winning seasons instead of doubtful ones.
Coach Huggins says his players don't know what they're doing. I thought that was the coach's job to teach them.
To the caller who commented about Hollywood and the Democratic Party, who were you talking about? Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger?
You call the police. People speeding and racing up and down Hanna Drive and they don't even bother to show up.
The Eastern Panhandle boys seem to have the South Hills boys' number. They beat them in football and basketball.
It is just disgusting to be served food by someone who is wearing flip-flops. Why is that not an issue where the health inspector will cite? That is just plain disgusting.
Why is it that anybody in this world is afraid to mention mountaintop removal and all them floods in Southern West Virginia? Why is that? I don't understand it. I guess they're afraid of big coal.
