The Democratic Party and the liberal news media have double standards. To put it mildly, Maher and Letterman are filthy-mouthed jerks. If these two had called Mrs. Obama and her daughters the names they called Sarah Palin and her family, the revenge would be unbelievable!

Does anyone actually believe that the indiscretions of Republican wives, girlfriends and daughters are not now remedied by abortions, or that if abortion is made illegal (for the poor) the indiscretions of the rich will not continue to be kept secret through abortions practiced outside of the country?

Since some have commented that their God is not Allah, I am confused. I thought God and Allah were one and the same, and the main difference between Muslims and Christians was that Christians believe Jesus is the son of God, while Muslims believe, as do the Jews, who are supposedly God's chosen people, that Jesus was just one of the prophets. Maybe someone can enlighten me.

Things were looking too good for the Democrat Party. So the Gazette and MSNBC start whipping out their anti-gun rhetoric. Alas, Ronnie Reagan's Brady Bunch strikes again.

So, Republicans don't want government infringing on our rights? Go ahead and infringe on mine if it means my health insurance and hospital bills will go down. As long as people are allowed to show up in emergency rooms and be treated with or without insurance, the rest of us will pay. My nest egg could be gone overnight. Let's get serious about this discussion. Unless you are extremely wealthy, you will benefit from the Affordable Health Care Act.

We are seeing the consequences of a Republican state and the NRA (National Rifle Association) mix. Lawlessness has just killed an innocent child. The rush to take guns to the street is a deadly result. Why would a Democrat not vote Democratic because a pipeline across America that goes straight to China is not being built? No amount of education will educate these idiots.

Until the DOH resumes regular maintenance of the ditches along the highways, especially the secondary roads, it is a waste of time and money to repair the roads. Misdirected runoff is ruining our highways and roads. Let your voice be heard!

From what university did WCHS talk radio personality Mike Agnello graduate? Would it be from the same university that he learned English grammar?

It's pathetic that people are STILL complaining about the new Walmart in Belle. Every time I turn around someone else is saying it's not as big and impressive as the one in Southridge. No, it's not as big, but it has everything you would expect out of a Walmart.

I wish someone would draft Fred Thompson for president. He is the only hope the Republicans have, and I so wanted to vote Republican this time. I sure don't expect to vote for what is offered.

Attention Montgomery area drivers, the yield sign at the foot of the Montgomery bridge is not a suggestion. It is the law. You are to yield to traffic eastbound on U.S. 60. The wreck you cause by running it will be your fault.

I had considered signing up for organ donation until I read that someone's heart was given to Dick Cheney. He needed a new one in more ways than one, but I will not be leaving mine behind if it might go to someone like him.

For those out there who've had their head in the sand about global warming: From March 1 to March 23 there has been over 6000 high temperatures tied or broken and we are still counting. So while you've got your head out of the sand take this to the bank: The XL pipeline will not lower gas prices for American drivers. Most of it will go offshore to China, India, etc.

I think Kabler's remark about the chair with a "Front" sign on it and civil service state employees was an unnecessary dig against them. If it was meant to be a joke, it wasn't very funny.
