I wonder how long in West Virginia before we'll have to say "I love coal" before and after we say the Pledge of Allegiance. It's ridiculous. It's a shame. It's ridiculous. That's all I've got to say.
It's been my experience at the Tamarack that the $1,000 shopping spree winner would not go very far at their prices.
I want to know who paid the money for Keith Judd to run for president. Was it the Republicans? I also want to know if Keith Judd was black, would he have been investigated?
To the reader who said they kept calling the city police about dealing crack, call the State Police. Leave the city police at the doughnut shop.
Listening to Obama flip-flop on gay and lesbian same-sex marriages is an abomination.
Concerning the veterans' cemetery, those teenagers should be able to take a toothbrush and clean up the mess. Also, carry a sign around their neck, parade around on the interstate and say, "look what I've done."
I was commenting on people calling us dumb hillbillies because they voted for an inmate. I think they are making a statement against what they think the shape this world's in.
To the Walton family who keeps complaining that NASCAR is no longer on the radio, if you would come down off of Walton's Mountain you would find that there is a new invention called television, which has NASCAR on every weekend, and you can actually watch it with your own eyes.
So, Mitt Romney is opposed to gay marriage, but is "OK" with gay couples adopting children. Am I the only one who sees a contradiction here? He wants these children to "live in sin" as the Christian religion calls a home with unmarried couples. Mitt's logic is twisted, trying to attract the voters.
The three biggest lies: The check is in the mail. I'm from the government and I'm here to help you. Fox News is fair and balanced.
The person who tried to prove liberals were of lower intelligence by saying they "continuously overspend and waste taxpayer money with no regard for a budget and living within your means" has perfectly described George W. Bush and the 2000-2002 Republican Congress who gave our money to the rich and started two unfunded wars. Borrow and spend got us in this mess.
Keith Judd should move to West Virginia and run for governor when he gets out. As long as his opponent isn't white, he might win.
A convicted felon serving hard time in a Texas prison gets nearly as many votes for president as did Mitt Romney ... God help us!
Oh for goodness sakes, folks, lighten up about the vote for Keith Judd. Look at it this way (I do), the more people who think we're backward, the fewer who will move here. The fewer who move here, the longer our state will be beautiful.
The 41 percent who voted for the convict did not do it because of ignorance, they did it to send a message that Obama's policies regarding coal are going to hurt our economy. Regardless of what you may think and wish, there is no quick, magic-bullet way to stop using fossil fuels to power our nation.
Buying beer is not a right, but voting is and should not be made difficult. And any fool can buy a gun without ID or background check at a gun show, yard sale, or from the neighbor down the street.

At a time when most Americans' primary concern is their ability to work to provide for their family, as crippling debt, record deficits, and fragile global markets loom over the economy, the president seems intent on having a national conversation about homosexual marriage?
President Obama may have looked bad because the Texas convict received a lot of votes but his announcement supporting gay marriage will result in a win in West Virginia in November. How so, you ask? Simple, Dick Cheney and his daughter will campaign for Obama. The result will be that the people who voted for the convict will vote for Obama. President Obama is one smart politician.
To the person asking where in Charleston to buy Extra Bold K cups? All major department stores carry them, but grocery stores don't have bold flavors. Also, look online.
Ah, the blessings of convenient memory. Mitt Romney says he doesn't remember the things he did in high school. I'm over 70, and I remember all the bad things I did in high school. To put it bluntly, Romney is a liar.
To the person who said Barack Obama is the worst president in U.S. history, I can see you are probably one of those people with a sixth-grade education who voted for a convicted prisoner. A U.S. News and World report article rates President Obama at the 15th best. President G.W. Bush is rated at 39th best. President Andrew Johnson is rated the worst president ever. Now that you know the real facts you may stick your head back in the sand.
I personally think it's a hoot that Judd got 41 percent of the vote. Perhaps The Gazette should rethink its slavish devotion to Obama. Finest intellect since Thomas Jefferson indeed.
Obama is one of our greatest presidents. But Democrats support gay rights, illegal immigrants, gun control and clean air. A backlash should have been expected. Attacking Swint supporters with bombastic rhetoric aside, we got a PR problem with a lot of voters.
Voting for Keith Judd sitting in jail is almost as stupid as voting for John Raese sitting in Florida.
OK, what's with that obnoxious banner that pops up when viewing the Gazette online that "asks" us to register to continue reading? It also says "this is not an E-edition log in." Well, it sure acts like one! I can't read without registering! It says, "We want to know more about our frequent visitors." Well, I don't want you to, so maybe I will stop reading!
I'm not ashamed of the way the Democrats voted in the election. I think it was the only way to show our dissatisfaction, and actually if Lassie's name had been on the ballot instead of Judd, I would have voted for him.
Now that the president has agreed with homosexuals marrying, man-to-man, woman-to-woman, maybe the gene that produces those people will die out and not reproduce anymore.
About Tuesday's primary voting, I believe the Democrats voting for Judd were making a statement. Anybody but Obama.
Same liberal blaming Bush. Bush is out of office and has retired. Do you get it?
Mitt Romney agrees like most men that marriage is between one man and a woman and all the mistresses he wants on the side.
You know, I fully believe Obama would do anything to get re-elected, even to the point of kissing Joe Biden.
Barry Skeins for mayor of the West Side. This man has great ideas and he cares.
To the people who wonder why the paper doesn't report the death of soldiers in Afghanistan because it's an election year, President Obama didn't put the troops in Afghanistan. That's all on Bush's back, so that would be the Republicans. It's Bush's fault they're all getting killed over there.
Why is the lottery sponsoring Landau Murphy? I thought that when lottery was going to be started it was for the seniors and schools. I mean, Landau Murphy, he's a great singer, yes, but the lottery sponsoring him?
