Seems ironic that the EPA is going after coal, when elimination of neighborhood fires (burning wood, trash, etc.) would do more for the quality of air. The hills almost constantly look smoky here in Boone County. We can do better. Stop the fires.

I totally agree with the [reader] who was talking about the women and how they dressed on Fox News. The men dress properly and the women dress like they are going to the beach or out in the back yard for a suntan, and Megan Kelly is the worst dressed of them all, ... and she is supposed to be a lawyer.

Once again, the Law of Unintended Consequences strikes. Egypt, which is now a democracy, like most Americans wanted, now has an Islamic president. Always be careful of what you wish for. You just might get it.

Let me put it this way: George W. Bush and the GOP Congress of 2000-2002 with their lying us into two wars convinced me to never again vote for a Republican at the national level. No matter how bad the Democratic candidate might be, he or she is a saint compared to a Republican.

Congress [is] where all have earned a master's in hypocrisy, and most have obtained a Ph.D. in the art of self-serving behavior.

Senator Rockefeller is a sorry joke. He could care less about West Virginians or the American people. The only thing he's concerned about is keeping the Democrats in power regardless.

This is toward the caller who had an ad in Friday's paper about Obama and some people would vote for the devil if he was on the ticket, but I'm going to tell you right now if you vote for Obama you are voting for the devil.

I just learned that two of my brothers, both accomplished ultra-distance runners at ages 70 and 65, have contracted leukemia and melanoma, respectively, as a result of toxic chemicals in their workplaces. Women, see to your loved ones who provide the joy as well as the material gifts of your lives. Encourage them to find work away from toxic chemicals.

I am appalled at the criticism of Rahall, Manchin and Tomblin. They're trying to be statesmen in the place of politicians.
