Gazette readers are supposed to be somewhat educated. Obama was a longtime member of the United Church of Christ and has spoken openly about Christianity at prayer breakfasts and lighting of the Christmas tree. Do your homework.

I'm a Christian woman, and I would like to know what gives a woman the right to think she can be a preacher or minister or be called reverend when there is only one reverend and that's God. What does she do when she comes to 1 Timothy 2:11-12?

Richie Robb's only qualification to run for U.S. Senate is hubris.

Your Gazette editors should read the Charles Krauthammer column and the Obama quotes in the Saturday Gazette-Mail. It makes their Saturday editorial look stupid.

Does anyone know what the South Charleston city manager is getting paid for? Shouldn't he look into all these deteriorating houses that are being rented by drug people?

I'm calling about a nuisance down at Laidley Field on the state parking lot. One of their light poles is down, and people back into this foundation thing of the light pole, and I think the state needs to come over here and do something about it. Knock it out of there or something because this guy just done $5,000 worth of damage to his vehicle down here at the senior game.

I don't understand how anybody who was born in West Virginia, lives in West Virginia or has family in West Virginia or has any ties at all to West Virginia could possibly vote Democrat.

The Willow Tree senior apartments was really nice, but now I am a visitor and when I get off the elevator on the third floor the smoke is so bad it chokes me up.

I don't see how NBC News stays in business. They have a liberal agenda and they edit stories to fit their agenda. They're about as credible as a rattlesnake.

This is to the person who said he has $156,000 invested in the money market and upset over the $38.30 then asks if that's normal. I'll tell you what's not normal. What is not normal is him telling everyone how much money he has.

Because of coal, West Virginia should have been in the top 20 states in the country as far as finances go. However the money left the state and never came back. Now we're holding the damaged bag.

Did you know that the price of gas would go down more if there wasn't so much tax on gas? Each state has put the price of how much tax they want to put on their gas. That's why the price of gas is so high right now, but I guess it's starting to come down and I'm glad it's coming down. If these states would lower the tax on gas we wouldn't have to pay so much on gas.

This is to Pete Thaw. All schools have good lighting system and cameras, so if all of those overtime employees that work for the Board of Education like to work so well at night put them all on the night shift.

I visited Welch on Sunday and filled up with gas for $3.35. Returning to Charleston, the price is still $3.59. Now Welch is quite a bit off the main drag, so can someone explain to me why the same gas cost 24 cents more per gallon in Charleston? Why does it always cost more in the Kanawha Valley? Shouldn't our attorney general look into this constant price gouging?
