Can't wait to read what all these Mountaineers are going to say about the power company not having power. They're going to cry about it too, just like they cry about gasoline prices.
If you think the loss of power and water is bad, wait [until] your check stops.
The Rich's gas station in St. Albans: Your employer chose well in choosing you people in helping us with the gas thing on Saturday. Thank you all for being so kind and patient.
Thanks be to my faithful TV mute button. Obama has his old repetitious political message way too many times. He talked with [a] forked tongue. And I approve of this message.
Suddenlink, I know that this is an emergency but I saw not one single Suddenlink truck Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Then the first ones I do see are in South Hills. Not Dunbar, who [has] electricity or anything. You always take care of South Hills. Everybody knows why.
Why would the TV stations interview Nancy Pelosi? She's never told the truth before, why do they expect her to tell it now?
I just want to make a comment about the Cedar Grove police up on the highway this Monday morning after all the tragedy that happened here over the weekend. They were catching people while they're going to work when we have drug dealers running up and down the road in their cars with no licenses.
I live in Beckley and I love The Charleston Gazette. I'm familiar with every part of West Virginia and so far as I can tell the Gazette is just about the only voice of sanity in the entire state.
Anyone who would betray their husband while he is serving in Afghanistan by cheating on him has no heart, no morals, no character, no soul.
Why doesn't the Charleston Sanitary Board try to make things more convenient for the public and accept credit cards or debit cards at their payment locations? This is ridiculous.
Please, please, please accept Jesus Christ while he is near. Don't be left behind. Jesus Christ is the only way.

Concerning the gas situation, we live in St. Albans and get up at 4 a.m. or 3 a.m. and go to the gas station and there is no line at all. So somebody might want to do that instead of waiting in line for two hours. That's what we have been doing.
The storm is unbelievable. I have driven all over this town and it's amazing how it is hit and miss about who has power and who doesn't. I have yet to see one single AEP truck out. Not one.
I know we've had storms and there is no way we can keep all the power on. But if the power company keeps wanting these raises that the Public Service Commission keeps giving them and the gas companies that want these raises, then get out and cut these trees out of the lines like they should do with their budget instead of asking for raises. I have no problem with that. What we should do at election time is vote some officials out that put these people in there.
Shame on West Virginia media and WOWK for not giving DISH Network a two-day extension during the storm. I guess Bray Cary is more interested in his pocketbook than public interest.
Friday night when the storm came up the river, Glasgow was in a mess. The mayor was out working. I saw the mayor out there trying to help. Where were all the council people?
You Republicans stop your whining. You didn't whine when the Supreme Court gave the presidency to Bush. That was a thousand times worse than giving health care to Obama.
About this big storm: The real heroes here are West Virginians.
I live down here in the heart of the billion-dollar coalfield. That's Earl Ray's home for those who do not know. My first vote I will cast for a Republican. We have no electricity. We do not even have potable water. He can't send any ice. I haven't had any electricity in four days. Earl Ray made me vote Republican.
I guess we're all citizens of the new reformed USSA -- United Socialist State of America.
For all the people that are without power or without water because of the storm, maybe they can call that prisoner in Texas. Maybe he can help them out.
The Democratic devils have won. Stay out of my doctor's office. Stay out of my bank account. You devils.
Appalachian Power's response to the electric outage in ... St. Albans is totally unacceptable. It is now 7 p.m. Monday evening and the power has been out since 7 p.m. Friday evening and there has not been a single Appalachian Power truck in St. Albans in the past three days. Their response is totally unacceptable and needs to be examined by the West Virginia Public Service Commission.
