It is so nice to turn on the "Today" show in the morning and not see or hear that whiny Ann Curry anymore. I couldn't stand her when she first started there on the show in 1997 and I've rarely watched it since. Thank you, NBC, for saving the "Today" show.

Why are the schools providing free breakfast and free lunch in some counties when there is a multitude of food stamps out there? Are their parents too lazy to cook for them?

West Virginia is the only state in the United States that regularly allows the power company, the gas gathering lines and the [Division] of Highways to use herbicides to keep their rights of way clear.

Personally, I think Mitt Romney would make an excellent president. After all, if you want a good lawyer, you want to get a crooked one.

Mitt Romney, you are such a patriot. You avoided the Vietnam War. Show us your tax returns. You don't have the nerve.

Apparently the Republicans who voted for the 33rd time to repeal the Affordable Care Act don't understand what happens when a bill becomes a law. Could somebody please send Eric Cantor a copy of "Schoolhouse Rock"?

Romney could clear up a lot by releasing his tax returns. Why won't he do that? What is he hiding?

Rockefeller is right. W.Va. stands to benefit more than other states with Obamacare. Another four years of Obama in the White House, nobody will be working in West Virginia. We'll all be depending on government handouts. That's what Rocky and his buddy wants

People saying the three major networks lean more conservative than liberal don't know the difference between being conservative or liberal.

I just watched Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman on how to end the current depression (he's honest enough to call it that). He says that if the people in Washington would work for the citizens rather than special interests, and if they paid any attention to the lessons of history and professional economists, the solution would be easy.

Does anyone know where I can get a sunroof for an automobile repaired in this area?

It amazes me that West Virginians continue to elect the same old Democrats to office when the Democrats have kept this state at the bottom economically for decades. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and each time expecting a different outcome.

It appears that Romeny can dish it out, but he can't take it, crying about Obama's campaign ads. If he can't take that, he doesn't have the guts to be president.

I can't decide which is worse, the insulting political ads, or the people who actually choose who they will vote for based on the ads.

The neighbors put us through a week of hell with their loud generator during the power outage. Manufacturers should quiet these monsters, and users should at least put them in the back or some place where they do not sound as loud.
