The reason the maintenance overtime for Kanawha County Schools is so high is that they sit for an hour before and after everything they do in every school. They know exactly where to hide. In every school I've worked -- five -- they have a place.
Those of you who worry about Obama serving a second term now know how the rest of us felt when simpleton George W. Bush was in office for eight long years. Enjoy the next four years. We will.
Barack Obama is taking $715 billion from Medicare, and that's going to help seniors; while Mitt Romney is going to revise it, and people 55 years of age can keep what they have and those under 55 can have their choice of Medicare or a $15,000 voucher to buy insurance. Now who is throwing seniors over the cliff?
Well, it's nearing election time, so we should be seeing a spurt of road paving and improvements.
Something tells me the person complaining about Shelley Moore Capito voting the Republican line and then complaining about Sen. Manchin and Gov. Tomblin not doing so is wanting his cake and eating to.
My anonymous source tells me that Harry Reid's anonymous source who said Mitt Romney did not pay taxes for 10 years was Barack Obama.
I detest having to vote for Manchin, but we cannot afford to let the Republicans take the Senate. A DINO is somewhat better than no Democrat.
Republicans want to help only the wealthy at the detriment of the working class. West Virginia has very few wealthy. Why are we a "red" state?
West Virginia workers do difficult jobs, work that takes a toll on body and mind. We need the Social Security collected from us. Many die before eligibility is reached.

Bill Clinton, who was nicknamed "Slick Willie" by the GOP because he was smarter than them, did not dodge the draft as Willard Mitt Romney did. Mr. Clinton was fortunate to receive a high number in the draft lottery of the time, and was never called to service.
It is so dangerous to drive in downtown Charleston. People do not look before they cross the street, they just start walking. The worst is at Town Center on Clendenin Street and at the Capitol Street/Washington Street area.
Ephesians 5:22-31 doesn't say that the Bible prefers people to be married. It says that if men and women do marry, they should love each other. 1 Corinthians 7:8-9 says that it is best for people to remain single unless they can't control their lusts any other way than to marry.
Women who choose to associate with abusive men bear responsibility when their children get hurt.
While Obama is proposing tax increases on the wealthiest Americans by letting the Bush tax cuts lapse only for those with incomes of over $250,000, Romney would flip that and give further breaks to the nation's millionaires, people who are already paying the lowest effective tax rate in 60 years.
If the Democrats spent as much money and effort providing IDs for voters as they're spending trying to fight it, there wouldn't be any problem. Looking at who they say can't provide ID and who they keep spending money on to register. It's obvious they're trying to buy the election with our tax dollars.
The White House keeps pushing the "Romney tax records" agenda to steer the public's focus off the fact Obama and his crew have no record to run on. The last three years have been a complete waste of time. Romney talks plans for future. Obama spins tales about the past.
Advice to "Obamacare" haters: If you just received a check from your insurance company because they spent less than 80 percent of your premium on actual health care, you can thank the president -- and send the check back. It'd be hypocritical of you to cash it, right?
It would be nice if people would be proud of Gabby Douglas for her hard work and dedication to her craft, and the wonderful things she did at the Olympics than to worry about how she wears her hair, but I guess some people just don't have a life so they need to worry about others.
Kudos to the mother who is challenging the Wood County Board of Education that thinks separate-but-equal classes for boys and girls would be better. If they use tax dollars to defend this absurdity, they need to be tested.
To the person fussing about someone complaining that the State Fair is not in Charleston: You said Charleston doesn't have an area to put the fair. Hey, I bet Double Dollar Jones is just drooling at the prospect of shutting down the Boulevard and having it there.
