CHARELSTON, W.Va. -- I, like the person who has the article in the paper, do not like Dutch Miller's commercials. I will not buy a car from them because of their stupid commercials.

I would like to see anybody that had anything to do with all these here routers to be fired from Jimmy Gianato all the way down. What happened to common sense? This is ridiculous. Can somebody with some authority do something about it?

Every time I pick up the sports page it's about GW. Is George Washington High School the only football team in this area? If it is, then I don't need the paper no more.

Mr. Romney made a statement about the president's birth certificate. Now when he was confronted about this, he denied that he was talking about the president. Another flip-flop on Romney, just like when he said he wouldn't support the poor people and when Santorum started winning he said he didn't mean to say that. Then why did he say it?

To the person that says we can't support our country: We can send money to the other countries and help support them. We can send a land rover to Mars and go up there and look at dirt, which is the biggest waste of money I've ever seen.

To the person that wrote in about putting the grocery store up in the East End of Charleston instead of all those restaurants and these parks, why should they put a grocery store there again? Years ago they had Fas Chek and later Kroger in there, but too many thieves [who] stole from both stores caused them to close. Why open again?

Isaac rolls in as a strong rainstorm but already the gas companies are jacking their prices out of site. They are bankrupting this country and our elected officials are just sitting back collecting their bonuses and doing nothing as always.

The hurricane bypassed Tampa, but there is a big bag of wind down there named Mike Agnello. What an appropriate place for that guy to be to spread his ignorant Obama hate.

I happen to like the Dutch Miller commercials. They're better than a lot of the comedy shows they have on television.

There are those, for whatever reasons they may have, who wish to shut down West Virginia's first class radio astronomy observatory at Green Bank. Please write your congressmen. Protest this. This does not need to happen. We need this observatory at Green Bank.

Mitt Romney's tax returns are a non-factor in this election just as Obama's college records are. When was the last time a member of the working class was elected president? Not in my lifetime. Each and every president has been in the wealthy class. From Obama, Clinton, the Bushes, Reagan, Johnson, and let's not forget the wealthiest of all, Kennedy and the Roosevelts. So Mitt Romney's finances will in no way make my mind up.

What this election boils down to is if you want higher taxes, bigger government, un-regulated spending, and more social programs, vote for Obama. If you want lower taxes, smaller government, controlled spending and social programs only for those who really need them, then vote for Romney. Like most Americans, I made up my mind months ago.

If coal is so clean, then why do we have black lung disease?

Has anyone else experienced bizarre shipping from the USPS lately? Last week I made a purchase from a place in East Liverpool, Ohio, which was shipped parcel post with tracking. The package then went to Warrendale, Pa., then to Memphis, Tenn., then to Cincinnati, Ohio, and left there yesterday. <t40>...<t$> Who knows where it is now!

Millionaires and billionaires are giving huge amounts of money to Romney to defeat Obama. They know that Obama is the only one standing in the way of them getting everything they want. Obama and the veto pen are defending our democracy.

If a young woman can go to Starbucks four or five times a week for a $6 latte and get her hair and nails done once a month, why can she not pay for her own birth control pills? Just want to know.

This is about the Dutch Miller commercial. They said they hated and it's stupid. My husband and I don't agree. We think it's really enjoyable and the Dutch Miller commercials, we always get a big laugh out of it. We hope he keeps them going.

Think of the coming election in this way: If you have a lot of money and you wanted someone to manage your money, which one would you pick, a man who takes your money and spreads it around to other people so they have money but you have less money or a man who will take your money, invest it so you've got your money plus more money and you're doing well? It should be an easy pick.

I think if WVU forces Chick-fil-A off their campus, I think they should send Huggins and Luck right along with it.

Republicans want to help only the wealthy at the detriment of the working class. West Virginia has very few wealthy. Why are we a red state?

Privatize Social Security means profit. A few get rich, many lose.

Voters need to remember that Capito is a yes vote for Paul Ryan's wacky ideas to rob working people of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid and making you pay for the super rich tax cuts.

Maloney had a chance to make West Virginia shine on national TV but instead took the low road. All the other speakers spoke up for their state. If he lived here maybe he would feel different. Maybe Hoppy wrote his speech. He is really good at bashing West Virginia. Baloney should have stayed away.

If you want a taste of how you (common people) will be treated if the Ryan-Romney ticket wins, just take a look at how Ron Paul was treated at the convention. That is how the runner-up is treated in Iran or Pakistan, not America.

The reason Republicans politicians who claim to be Christians are phony is because they never ever speak up against greed.

Last winter an article appeared in the paper that a cell tower would be built in the spring of 2012 in Campbells Creek. Does anyone know the status of said tower? It is really needed.

Paul Ryan's mother is on Medicare. Her first husband was a lawyer, her second husband was an insurance executive so you think she has to choose between eating and buying medicine on her Social Security check like a lot of us. I think this guy is a young greedy politician who will say anything to get elected.

To the Democrat voting for Romney because he thinks "separation of church and state has gone too far," I disagree. Religion should not be meddling in political affairs. ... No one is persecuting you by preventing you from forcing your religious views onto everyone else. Keep religion where it belongs, in the churches and your homes.
