Anti-gun nuts and tea party crackpots really do have something in common. You cannot discuss facts intelligently and unemotionally with either.
What was even more pathetic than Clint Eastwood's speech was the dopey Republicans in the audience laughing at the things he said that didn't even make sense. What a bunch of mindless lemmings.
Several stores in the Charleston area sell microfiber pants for men. Is there a store in the Charleston area that sells microfiber slacks for women in women's sizes?
I saw a list of 30 Hollywood celebrities who are Republicans and there are enough affairs and multiple marriages there to make the party that calls itself conservative look more liberal regarding marriage than any gay person could be. I've always said they are the party of hypocrites.
I want to thank Phil Kabler for staying on DHHR Secretary Rocco Fucillo awarding an advertising contract to the highest bidder. Follow-up by the media is the bane of inadequate, incompetent and dishonest public administrators.
God bless Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey for saying he did not want to be "complicit" in an Israeli military strike on Iran.
When CNN reporters were interviewing Ryan about his claim that Obama was responsible for the GM plant closing in his district, I think they should have asked what he did to try to save it. He was the congressman for that district and Bush was president.
Seems to me if the liberal news media spends a lot of time criticizing something a conservative said, the conservative's comments were probably correct. Liberals have been dissecting Clint Eastwood's speech all day trying to twist it as a joke. Their heads are so deep in the sand they can't see that his comments were spot-on.
Whoever complained about the Belle plant having no minorities and no females has obviously never been inside the gate.
To the person wondering where to watch the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN): It's offered by Suddenlink on channel 312, but it's not basic cable.
Look, if your Sabbath day is Sunday, don't work, don't shop, don't do anything. But different religions have their Sabbaths and holy days on different days of the week. Please don't presume that your religion takes precedence.
The Republicans actually want us to trust our country's finances to a man who is afraid to disclose his tax returns. Democrats couldn't make stuff like that up!
Person that keeps posting anything Romney plans to do is for the rich just proves a point. They have no idea what the issues are, what the plans are, and they can only repeat the one talking point they receive from liberal news media outlets.
City of Charleston could annex Malden into their city limits. Then Dollar Danny could close down eastbound lanes of interstate for his car shows.
First, Republicans always mock "liberal Hollywood" for supporting President Obama. But next, they are so thrilled to announce that Clint Eastwood was going to speak at the Republican convention. Then, he gave the most pitiful speeches ever. Empty chair. Forgot that Bush sent us to Afghanistan.

Has anyone else noticed that when armed insurgents are fighting governments we like, our media call them "terrorists," but when they're fighting governments we don't like, they're called "activists"?
If the Republicans are the party of Christian and family values, why is it that I can name about 10 times more of them that have cheated on their wives than I can in the Democratic Party that the Republicans say don't have Christian and family values?
Rocco Fucillo, Kay Goodwin, Jimmy Gianato and Randall Reid-Smith are four good reasons not to vote for Earl Ray Tomblin.
I hope they're working on the AC at Stonewall. It has been miserable in some of the rooms the entire year so far.
WVU defense under ex-Big 12 (really 10) coach only gave up 545 yards against lowly Marshall. We will get better. Can't get much worse. If they give up 500 per game Ollie will give him a raise and he will get better. Still looking for first sellout this year.
Friends of Coal honored two deceased coaches but nothing for 29 miners killed in crime at UBB. They don't seem to matter to them.
All of the Democrats are making jabs at the Republicans for having Clint Eastwood at the RNC. I bet the Democrats have four times as many stars that will bash the Republicans, and none of them will have any new plans other than tax and spend and dividing my money up between those that will not work but will vote Democratic.
When is President Obama going to help the middle class? I've been waiting almost four years now and the only difference I can tell is that my expenses keep going up and my buying power keeps going down. Maybe I qualify for welfare and a new cellphone and could do away with my phone bill. Oh how I wish I had a cell signal.
Clint Eastwood is another example of the superrich like Mitt Romney looking for a tax handout to hide in an offshore bank. I'd like to "make his day" by making him pay his fair share of taxes.
To those of you who remain undecided in this election cycle, attend the "Obama 2016" movie and get a view of where this president intends to take us. Not only is he constructing his own destiny as he sees it, but is constructing our destiny as well. The intention is that we, the greatest country in the world, the United States of America, is on the path to be converted to a Third World country.
I may not know exactly who Mitt Romney is, but I sure as heck know Barack Obama. Out of respect for all those who fought and/or died for our freedom, out of love for and the future of my grandchildren, there is no way on earth I will be voting for Obama. (Didn't vote for him last time.) I am a white female, senior citizen and registered as an independent.
Between Fox News and conservative radio, Republicans have had control of the media for years by virtue of pundits who helped (and continue to help) members of the Bush administration lie, openly show their animosity toward anything, and I mean anything, Obama says or does, and persist in disregarding facts and dismissing the truth.
If the middle class does not have job security and income growth, the economy will not pick up steam. That takes a lot of middle-class consumers with cash. Outsourcing, offshoring, cutting retirement and other benefits results in a shrinking middle class. Protecting wealthy, so-called "job creators" by lowering their tax rates does not grow the economy.
The price of gas in Charleston and St. Albans has been $3.99 for a week or more. I go to Cross Lanes, Nitro and Scott Depot and the price is $3.79 and $3.85. Why is St. Albans and Charleston always higher? Check out the prices on lowergasprices.com before you buy. If we continue to buy the higher price, the stations will never lower their prices.
Republicans are now telling us George W. Bush did a good job as president! So why don't they show him in ads saying vote for Mitt Romney, because he will run the USA the way I did?
Given that The Charleston Gazette refers to the terrorist rebels in Syria as "activists," I'm wondering when you'll start referring to the "activists" who hijacked four airplanes on 9-11-01.
