I am not a friend of coal. I am sick and tired of the coal miners constantly whining about their jobs. I hope that Obama and the EPA closes all the mines. Wind power and gas will replace coal.

I'm a 72-year-old man. I'm going to Washington, D.C., tomorrow. I'm going to walk up in the Oval Office and talk to the president, although I don't have a picture ID. Shouldn't be no problem; I don't need one to vote.

Nobody wants to destroy the coal industry; however, the mercury discharged from coal-fired plants is poisoning our air and water and killing our children. Every time the coal industry makes money, somebody, somewhere loses their life.

I have been a Democrat for 65 years, and I changed to a Republican just recently, and I cannot wait to vote. I will not, under any circumstances, be voting for Barack Obama.

I am looking forward to President Obama's re-election. Soon after he is re-elected, the first thing he should do is take Fox News network and Rush Limbaugh off the air. Then he should try to dissolve the NRA.

What? Miners aren't getting their entitled benefits? Where are the Friends of Coal?

I see Mark Plants has entered in on taking sides on the lawsuit with the DHHR. Maybe people needs to start worrying about who they are voting for and make sure he doesn't get their vote. He just lost mine.

First thing Hoppy Kercheval did on Sept. 11 was praise former President G.W. Bush. This proves he's a propaganda mouthpiece for the RNC.

All you see on TV is Earl Ray Tomblin, Joe Manchin and Nick Rahall professing they are friends of coal. They are friends of coal companies, not coal miners. Sure, you may make a lot of money, but is it worth your life? I don't see any of their kids working in a coal mine.

I'd like to have the people that write and read this, think back to the last 50 years and think of the economy and, with the exception of Carter, think who was in the presidency when the economy was bad and who was in the presidency when the economy was good.

It's not going to matter what the audit of West Virginia's education system shows. It's not going to show the lack of morale, the depression, the overwork and the demeaning nature of working at the state Department of Education.

To the person who complained about Mitt Romney having millionaire parents and starting out as a millionaire: He donated all of his $6 million inheritance to his church.

What about the Pakistani doctor who helped us find Osama bin Laden? Has he received his greatly deserved award, or have we abandoned him to suffer in a Pakistani jail? If we have, shame on our government.

The Republicans want to do away with Social Security, Medicare and the senior citizens.

The movie "2016" is full of lies and can be debunked by serious journalists.

I believe older people who have never had children should get a refund or something on the levy taxes for schools or should never have to pay in the first place if they have no children.

Saying you're a doctor does not make you a doctor. Saying you're a Christian does not make you a Christian.
