I am not a friend of coal. I am sick and tired of the coal miners constantly whining about their jobs. I hope that Obama and the EPA closes all the mines. Wind power and gas will replace coal.
I'm a 72-year-old man. I'm going to Washington, D.C., tomorrow. I'm going to walk up in the Oval Office and talk to the president, although I don't have a picture ID. Shouldn't be no problem; I don't need one to vote.
Nobody wants to destroy the coal industry; however, the mercury discharged from coal-fired plants is poisoning our air and water and killing our children. Every time the coal industry makes money, somebody, somewhere loses their life.
I have been a Democrat for 65 years, and I changed to a Republican just recently, and I cannot wait to vote. I will not, under any circumstances, be voting for Barack Obama.
I am looking forward to President Obama's re-election. Soon after he is re-elected, the first thing he should do is take Fox News network and Rush Limbaugh off the air. Then he should try to dissolve the NRA.
What? Miners aren't getting their entitled benefits? Where are the Friends of Coal?
I see Mark Plants has entered in on taking sides on the lawsuit with the DHHR. Maybe people needs to start worrying about who they are voting for and make sure he doesn't get their vote. He just lost mine.
First thing Hoppy Kercheval did on Sept. 11 was praise former President G.W. Bush. This proves he's a propaganda mouthpiece for the RNC.
All you see on TV is Earl Ray Tomblin, Joe Manchin and Nick Rahall professing they are friends of coal. They are friends of coal companies, not coal miners. Sure, you may make a lot of money, but is it worth your life? I don't see any of their kids working in a coal mine.
I'd like to have the people that write and read this, think back to the last 50 years and think of the economy and, with the exception of Carter, think who was in the presidency when the economy was bad and who was in the presidency when the economy was good.
It's not going to matter what the audit of West Virginia's education system shows. It's not going to show the lack of morale, the depression, the overwork and the demeaning nature of working at the state Department of Education.
To the person who complained about Mitt Romney having millionaire parents and starting out as a millionaire: He donated all of his $6 million inheritance to his church.
What about the Pakistani doctor who helped us find Osama bin Laden? Has he received his greatly deserved award, or have we abandoned him to suffer in a Pakistani jail? If we have, shame on our government.
The Republicans want to do away with Social Security, Medicare and the senior citizens.
The movie "2016" is full of lies and can be debunked by serious journalists.
I believe older people who have never had children should get a refund or something on the levy taxes for schools or should never have to pay in the first place if they have no children.
Saying you're a doctor does not make you a doctor. Saying you're a Christian does not make you a Christian.

Maybe West Virginians need a reality check to understand that they are middle and lower class. So voting for Romney is voting against yourself because he is not for middle or lower class.
New voter-ID laws are unconstitutional and un-American. This is a no-brainer for anyone past the sixth grade.
I wouldn't vote for Nick Joe Rahall for dog catcher. He's been to the taxpayers' trough way too long.
Please tell Mitt Romney religious wars are a waste of time. In America, we're free to choose our belief system or lack thereof. We're also free to embrace our differences. Even the lunatic fringe has rights in America.
I remember school lunches when I was a kid. They were heavy and greasy and half the time tasted like TV dinners. Thank you, Michelle Obama, for giving our kids food fit to eat.
Obama's new programs have raised the deficit trillions of dollars. Our grandchildren will be paying off this debt. How can they say in their campaign commercials they are helping the middle class and not raising taxes? How can an intelligent voter believe these lies?
The reason I don't believe Republicans are really against abortion is because I have never in my life heard one express frustration with the Republican Party for never having done anything about it in the 39 years that it has been legal.
To drivers exiting I-64 eastbound at Institute: The yield and merge signs at the end of your exit ramp mean that drivers exiting westbound have the right of way.
Sen. John McCain is a really sore loser. Can you imagine how he would have been as president? He and Rep. John Boehner would have made a nice crybaby pair.
Without question, the killing of the U.S. ambassador in Libya was wrong. Before Americans get too judgmental and self-righteous, however, we should remember that Muslims and Sikhs are sometimes gunned down in America simply for being Muslim or Sikh.
Mitt Romney has once again proven that he is unfit to hold the office of president when he politicized his statement concerning the incident in which four brave Americans lost their lives in Libya. He turned a very sad moment into a political opportunity to advance his campaign.
In 2000, the GOP sort-of barely won with George Bush. In 2008, they nominated the guy that lost to George Bush. In 2012, they nominated the guy that lost to the guy who lost to George Bush. Good luck.
Willard Mitt Romney's foreign-policy adviser says things would have been different if Romney was president. OK, what would he have done? How would he have prevented the attack when we didn't know it was coming?
Obama has spent twice as much time playing golf as he's spent in security briefings.
A liberal in a Subaru covered with liberal bumper stickers complaining about Romney sending jobs overseas: Now that's comical.
Iran held us hostage under Carter's watch. As soon as Reagan stepped into the White House they changed their tune real quick because they knew he would take care of business. History is repeating itself. We need the GOP back in there to fight the terrorists.
This is the four-year anniversary of George W. Bush letting Lehman Brothers go bankrupt, sending the country nearly into a depression. Thank God we now have a president who fights to protect American jobs.
Clinton failed to protect us and allowed our enemies time to plan the 9/11 attacks. The two unfunded wars were funded until all the "for the war before I was against it" Democrats pulled their support after we committed ourselves to the fight.
