If you are a working person, or a retired working person, beware. The Romney-Ryan budget plan will really stick it to you, while the rich will get huge tax breaks. Romney's offshore tax shelters will be bulging while the middle class gets saddled with the debt.
I voted for Manchin and Tomblin to represent me. Since they are not representing me, as a Democrat, they will not get my vote again. Ever.
The Board of Education needs to look at Montrose school. They have the same overcrowding issues as Overbrook. How do you explain moving in a portable classroom at Montrose when a brand new grade school has been built two miles away?
If you're going to base your vote on the tone of a candidate's voice you have no business voting. That's how we got in this mess. People ignoring important issues and making choices because of silly reasons like the shape of eyebrows or ability to make a speech.
It is probably because of the warm weather, but recently when hiking in the state forest I encounter a snake that wants to talk to me. It seems that he wants to know where a certain fruit tree is. Should I report these incidents to the DNR?
I'd rather have a president with business experience making money vs. a president with no financial experience other than taking money from those who work to give to those who won't.
Our social programs and government projects shouldn't be compared to those in socialist countries. We had the chance to vote for or against the leaders pushing those programs. If we don't get things under control we will lose that right to vote and then we will have socialism.
Americans do, by and large, admire success that is the result of hard work. What they find less admirable is privilege masquerading as a lifetime of labor. You wanna admire someone in the Romney family who worked hard for what he had? Try Mitt's father.
At this point Mitt is ready to go to war with all of the Mideast countries. He is ready to lead us to war but he won't be going again. Neither will any of his sons. He just wants to use yours and mine.

After watching WVU in a less than half filled stadium we know we are 30 points better than Jane Madison, a team in the league with Fairmont State and Glenville State. I guess that means a lot to Ollie.
Wouldn't it be nice if the money spent by PACs on advertising could be spent on bridges and road repair?
Ghost hunters, ghost adventures, psychics, psychos or whatever you claim to be: You already know how to contact me so here is my proposition. Provide me with the winning lottery or Powerball numbers and I will gladly enter into a legally binding contract where I give you 95 percent of my winnings. Pretty easy money, huh? We can win every week.
Wisconsin's conservative governor passed a law soon after taking office denying public employees the right to collective bargaining. Now a conservative Republican is running for vice president who probably has the same idea. I hope the unions aren't supporting Romney-Ryan.
Every year I think the new TV shows cannot possibly get any worse or sink to any new lows. Then the new season starts and I realize I was wrong.
If the attack in Libya was President Obama's fault as Sean Hannity said, was the attack on the World Trade center on September 11, 2001, George W. Bush's fault?
Constellium workers need to get a check on reality. Workers in other plants get paid more because they have higher cost of living and they actually work. West Virginia union members tell the world they are "ready and able to work" according to their TV ads, but actually they are only good to sit on their bums while others from out of state do the actual work. That is why when contractors want a job done they hire from out of state.
All for people getting exercise but not when it involves closing down the boulevard Saturday, a time when people who work all week are trying to get around to do errands. Surely there is some place outside of downtown for this type of activity.
The recent attacks on U.S. embassies is quite surprising. After all, the United States spent $1 trillion building Iraq into a model of democracy. That resulted in the rapid conversion of Middle Eastern Muslim countries to secular democracies. Where did these attackers come from?
You wanna know why you should stop whining about paying your share of a school levy since you have no children? Here it is: it's because you benefit. Who do you think educated your doctor so she could go to med school? Who educated the pharmacist who fills your prescriptions, the firefighter who operates the ladder truck, the police officer who ensures your safety?
