We got two Carpers in the courthouse. Why would we want a third one?
I want to know when our judges are going to step up to the plate and quit releasing these people that are on drug charges that already have at least two felonies against them. Please do something about our drug problem in Charleston.
You gotta love the way some fundamentalist Christians yell persecution all the while while they are forcing their religion on the rest of us in so many ways.
To the person who called in pushing for people to vote for Gary Johnson as a third party candidate, all you're going to do is give your vote away. Third party candidate has no chance of winning in this country right now ... Right now the issue is let's get this country back on track and don't throw your vote away by voting for a third party.
Patrick Morrisey can't sink any lower. First he comes to West Virginia a year ago to join the bar to try to become our attorney general. Then he pays someone to follow Darrell McGraw around with a camera.
To the reader who wondered if Natalie Tennant is in over her head, I certainly agree. She was never qualified for that job and neither is her husband qualified for what he's doing. They just want to make public political careers, and they'll go on someone else's shoulders and knowledge to do it. Let's vote them out.
Shelley Capito says that she is a friend of coal. She sponsored a publicity-seeking bill called the "stop the war on coal" bill. If she really wants to help coal then she should sponsor a bill to stop the real threat to coal: natural gas. As long as natural gas is cheaper than coal, coal usage will not increase.
One more time: If you worked and earned your government benefits nobody is attacking you. It's the millions of freeloaders who work the system collecting benefits and never contributed a dime we have a problem with.
If you think the banking, housing and business [industry] is booming you need to find a new news source. Yours is lying to you.
My share of my employer's health insurance premiums are going up $300 for next year, the doctor I have visited for 15 years has decided to no longer work with my insurance provider, and the hospital I normally use has decided to cut back on services I need and in all cases they cite as the reason President Obama's health-care mandate.
Isn't it amazing that we have lost young soldiers fighting communist countries in the past, and now, we have a candidate for the president of the USA, Mitt Romney, sending American jobs to China?
Obama, Romney. It's a shame there isn't "none of the above" on the ticket.
Want to know how Mitt Romney made his millions? He used borrowed money to take over corporations and then bled them for huge profits and left them doomed for bankruptcy. Does this sound like job creation to you?
To the person who said Romney is not referring to our seniors or military personnel concerning the 47 percent remark, I guess you read this in your Republican crystal ball. I read the paper every day and watch the news on TV every day and he has never said he was not referring to seniors or military personnel. Get your facts straight. You people with your heads in the sand just ruin the Readers' Voice.
I don't watch the NFL games and won't until the regular refs are back. By the news I've been hearing the replacement refs have made some pretty scabby calls.

Obama is trying to say that Mitt Romney is against coal because of the ad that he has. Obama is lying through his teeth. He is not for coal. He is against our coal miners and I think we ought to vote against [him].
I'd like to know why anybody in the United States that's got a job now would vote for Obama so they wouldn't have a job or won't have a job in a couple of months after the election.
Danny Jones, you're going to have to start somewhere whether you like it or not. You've got to get rid of some of those councilmen. We do not need all those councilmen. ... We can't afford to pay them. ... We're wasting our money. It needs to be spent elsewhere, so Danny, do your job, finally.
Marshall's gotten quite a bit better. Now they're able to overcome that coaching incompetence like that 2-point call against Rice. Whatever coach called that, that was a terrible time to do it. There's no reason for that kind of stuff. They shouldn't even have had to be in overtime.
Why does that pelvic sling lawsuit commercial always come on around breakfast, lunch or dinnertime? I don't want to hear that when I'm trying to eat, OK? Just put it on at different times. Does anybody else think that's just a little too much information?
If you are missing a lost photo order from Rite Aid in Kanawha City, you might try their South Charleston store. I drove down there and picked mine up yesterday. No thanks to managers or staff.
A couple of comments: Whoever it was who said Romney's religion believes in multiple gods had better study up on Mormonism. There are some things in their doctrine I have issues with, but they believe very strongly in only one God. Secondly, maybe we could get Romney to waste his time on the 47 percent if Obama would waste his time campaigning in West Virginia. Ya think?
The person who tried to use the Biblical parable of the fishes to illustrate the difference between Obama and Romney almost had it right. He said Obama would give you the fishes and Romney would give you a pole. I believe the correct version would be Romney would give you the shaft.
So Republican election officials are bummed out they can't find evidence of voter fraud? It's just so darned hard to find evidence of a problem that doesn't exist. Maybe they should try tackling our out-of-control witch problem.
Ms. Smith, if you're praying aloud in Jesus' name in a public venue, such as a football game, where others in attendance are forced to listen -- be they Jewish, Muslim, Hindu or even atheist -- you are promoting a particular religion. You're certainly free to pray if you wish. You just can't make the rest of us listen.
In light of the DOH unfairly giving a few random employees a 10 percent pay raise, state workers need to really think when it comes time to vote for governor. Joe Manchin has done nothing to help state employees and it's clear Earl Ray isn't going to either.
As good as Baylor looked last Friday night on TV and as bad as West Virginia played against Maryland, the West Virginia fans might not have all that long to start whining about being in the Big 12. We'll just have to see.
I think Secretary of State Natalie Tennant needs to get a dictionary and look up the word and the definition of egotistical.
There is enough food wasted in Kanawha County Schools to feed the hungry in West Virginia. There has to be a better way of counting how many will eat lunch.
