To the Board of Governors at West Virginia University, please do not let them change our colors from blue and gold. It seems like they're trying to lean toward black.
There is one major flaw in early voting. Anyone who would vote now before the three presidential debates is totally irresponsible.
Okay, for the last time, you lefties have got to get off the 47 percent thing. It's a non-issue. Obama has written off West Virginia because he knows he won't even come close to carrying this state. That's no different than what Romney is doing about the 47 percent. He knows, come Hades or high water, these folks are voting for Obama and there's no reason to consider them.
I wanted to post a comment to the Gazette regarding the story about David Corbin's new book ... not Facebook!
You are without a doubt the most liberal, biased newspaper in the country. I've followed with expertise the number of headlines and articles that you run on your editorial page, as well as supposedly journalistic news stories. You are so hard leaning left, I'm surprised you sell any newspapers in conservative West Virginia.
Speaking of "talking out of both sides of your mouth," Mitt or his Tea Party compadres are running pro coal ads in West Virginia. Then, we have a clip showing Mitt standing outside a coal plant, clearly stating that he could never support a product that kills people? Can't have it both ways, Mitt.
BrickStreet is No. 1. Profits at $41 million. Know how they achieve that? Charge high premiums and when a claim is filed, drop the company. As usual, stick it to the business owner and send his money to the stockholders.
It bugs me to see a statement that stink bugs arrived in '98. We had the identical bug in the Depression years in great numbers and also in the 60s and 70s. Even National Geographic got it wrong.
Restaurants designed so the waiter has to walk out of sight with your credit card encourage ID and credit card theft.
I have never seen anyone who backs off when he is cornered! Mitt Romney cannot take the heat. Every time he changes his tune when caught in the lies! Wake up America, and keep Obama in. He's got my vote, and yes, I work every day and I pay taxes.
For a week after the killing of our ambassador and three others, the president and all of his staff lied, saying it was because of some film clip and not terrorism, even though it happened on 9/11 and it was verified within 24 hours. If they lied about this, what else [are they lying about]?
Would someone explain to me why we still have over 8 percent unemployment if Obama has created over 8,000,000 jobs?
Hugo Chavez says he would vote for Obama. Two peas in a pod. I hope the Democrats are pleased with Chavez's powerful support.

When Bush was president you published a body count daily. Now that Obama is president you did not publish that the count hit 2,000 ... and we have no plan for winning in Afghanistan.
Hey, whoever said that the person needed to brush up on Romney's religion, I don't care how many gods they believe in. The fact is they're not Christians because they don't believe in Jesus as savior, so obviously you must not be a Christian, and Obama would never waste his time campaigning in West Virginia. Who would want to talk to a bunch of racial hillbillies?
To the person that is talking about Obama saying he's against the coal miners about his ads, people need to vote for who they want to and decide for themselves. We don't need somebody to tell us who to vote for.
I agree with the caller who said Charleston has too many city councilmen. Charleston is a city of 50,000 with 20-plus councilmen. ... The city of Los Angeles is a city of millions and they have maybe a dozen councilmen, and if you don't believe me you look it up and check it.
I've got a great idea to get kids to only eat healthy fruit and vegetables. As a parent, don't bring anything other fruits and vegetables in to the house.
To the person wondering why college produces so many atheists, studies show that the higher level of education someone achieves, the less likely they are to believe in God. Coincidence?
Here is Mitt Romney's plan in his own words: need money for college? He recommends borrowing from your parents. Need medical care? Go to an emergency room. ... Want to be a world leader? Go overseas and insult our closest allies. Want to be called a job creator? Bankrupt some businesses and create minimum wage jobs in other companies.
We all need to help the 47 percent that Romney hates -- to get out and vote.
"Widespread voter fraud" in Florida is not news. We've known that since Jeb Bush stole the presidential election 12 years ago.
It time to ignore Readers Voice/Ventline until after the election. I can't even figure out what a caller/writer is talking about half the time since comments now make no sense.
To the person who made the remark about Alan Colmes on Fox News. What happened to 'fair and balanced'?
Damon Thibodeaux, on death row in Louisiana for 15 years, was exonerated of murder and rape, making him the 300th person exonerated by DNA evidence in the U.S. There is something terribly wrong with our police, prosecutors and courts to have that many wrongful convictions, which allows real perpetrators to go free to commit other crimes!
The 47 percent speaks: she's voting for Obama because he gave her a free phone. Enough said!
You'd fire the people with Obama bumper stickers to teach them a lesson? When do you plan to learn yours? You know, we're-in-this-mess-because-the-former-administration-started-two-wars-it-didn't-pay-for lesson.
