Was that a dream come true for Romney or what? Getting to dismiss Jim Lehrer in front of a TV audience must be as good as it gets for a man who "likes firing people."
There was a miracle in Hurricane. All Hurricane Middle School's students and staff made it home safely after the dangerous gas leak. Be thankful instead of complaining about such nonsense about what time your were notified or that you couldn't check your child out.
It may be that the [Legislature] doesn't often get it right, but in the matter of who teaches which subjects, they did. It's undeniably difficult to staff high-need schools and classrooms, but letting TFA volunteers teach literally anything, however unrelated to their degree fields, isn't the answer.
If we ever needed a capitalist in the White House it's now. Making money is not a bad thing .... The USA could use some business acumen.
Let's see: Unemployment rate is lower than when Bush left office, affordable medical care for practically all Americans, Osama bin Laden dead, we haven't been attacked by terrorists, war in Iraq ended and Afghanistan winding down. I don't know why anyone would vote to re-elect President Obama.
The [new] jobs report cancels out whatever advantage Willard Mitt Romney got from the first debate. Facts cancel out BS every time. It's the usual story. Good news for the average American is bad news for the Republican Party.
So now the left has finally seen what we on the right have seen and known all along in the president: A somewhat adrift professor who hasn't a real grip on the facts and their impact, but [who] does real fine when he has a script and a teleprompter.
For those wondering who the person debating Obama was, it was Romney. He just shook his Etch-A-Sketch.
If we were to be so unfortunate to have Obama get re-elected, expect him to declare he has yet another mandate to do whatever he pleases. This would allow him, among other undesirable acts, to appoint more czars at much higher salaries than before.
Doc Holliday may not have quite the team that Holgorsen does, but he's got twice the character and he's twice the coach. Take that, WVU fans.
Poor John. Now he thinks he is running against a dead man. Get him a copy of the 2009 paper with Ted's death announcement. Mountain candidate won easily followed by Joe and far behind, in another world, came John. Poor John.

I switched over to MSNBC a little bit this evening and I [saw] that Mr. Sharpton. All that puffed up arrogance is almost gone. He was kindly cowed down today and he looked awful desperate being how Obama got slapped [Wednesday] night by Romney.
Obama the great orator. We give him a teleprompter and he'll sure tell you something. Last night with no teleprompter he had to do it on his own. Whew, I almost felt sorry for him. He looked like a cross between Alfred E. Newman and Daffy Duck.
I wasted my time reading 28 comments in Thursday's Readers' Voice. Not one hint of honesty or integrity to the readers was involved. What kind of newspaper are you? Ignorant propagandist is right on.
Willard Mitt Romney will be the next president of the United States of America, or else.
After listening to the Oct. 4 West Virginia Public Radio broadcast of the Manchin, Raese, Baber debate, I can understand why Mr. Raese wants another debate without Mr. Baber. Mr. Baber is clearly the candidate who represents West Virginia.
I sure don't like Channel 8's news studio look. It looks like you're looking at someone under blue water.
I'm a longtime reader of The Charleston Gazette. Over the past months, I've read the extraordinary reporting of Amy Julia Harris, but I understand that she accepted a position in California. I consider her one of the better reporters in the state. Due to her reporting, the people interested in education in West Virginia will long be thankful.
Marshall's coming along just fine under Holliday's tutelage. Purdue was favored by 17 and they only won by 10, and Marshall came back on them, but Marshall's doing just fine. That was a stupid thing to say about Holliday being worried about his job. I think he can stay there as long as he wants to.
Uh oh. Somebody forgot to tell Mr. Brilliance, $20 million Coach Holgorsen, that you've got to play defense too.
