I wonder if the same people who hated the Electoral College after the 2000 election will be upset should Romney win the popular vote this year and lose in the Electoral College. The hypocrisy of political partisans is on full display at times like that.

Part-time employment is up. Manufacturing jobs are down. Three times as many left the work force as entered it. The new jobs numbers don't add up. Even your most left-leaning liberal news media people are questioning the cooked numbers so soon before the election.

I see where they are having a "coal miners support day" in the coalfields for the jobs they accuse the EPA of destroying. If they support the miners, they should put the blame where it belongs: coal companies and politicians. They just use these easily swayed people to do their dirty work.

Bush was re-elected after over 3,000 Americans were killed in the 9/11 attacks, but President Obama shouldn't be re-elected because four Americans were killed in the Libya attack. Do you see the hypocrisy of that?

A special-interest-owned Congress has no ability to make or allow any significant cuts to the federal budget. They also have not the courage to propose substantial tax increases. So I guess the deficit disappears by wishing and hoping. It won't be long until we learn what real pain is.

I read yet again the phrase "Kool-Aid drinkers." This is such a nasty thing to say. There were a lot of innocent people killed in Jonestown, and I had friends who were killed and injured on that airstrip. Use of those words is an insult to a terrible chapter in our history. Show some respect.

Those who want to extend the Bush tax cuts need to face a little truth. The tax cuts were based on faulty predictions of future budget surpluses. Maloney's statement that climate change, or global warming, is a hoax illustrates that he is just another ignorant Republican that denies scientific evidence, and to the very real peril of all of us.

Headline reads: "Student loans crush many families." Did these people not realize they had to pay this money back or did they think the government would eventually just forgive it all? People borrow with no idea of how long or how much they will have to pay back. Easy to see how we became a nation of debt addicts.
