I'm wondering why the Little League ball team chose Sunday at 11 to have a parade in Belle with the fire trucks, sirens and all going and people trying to worship in the churches. Seems to me that most of these people should have been in church also. Who gave them permission and why did the fire department participate in this?
Is there a grief support group in the Charleston area? If so, would you please print something in the paper about it to help those who have lost loved ones?
Is there a law against people kissing out in public or not? The other day I seen this couple kissing out in public, and I'd just like to know if there is a law against it. They should do that at their home.
I see a rerun of President Obama in 2008 blasting Republicans for the high gas prices. Now prices have more than doubled. He's done absolutely nothing about them, but yet he says nothing. But again, I guess that's what Obama stands for. Stick it to the consumer.
Mitt Romney doesn't need a teleprompter. When you tell that many lies, you don't have any use for one.
To the people calling in saying that Obama should be re-elected, that he had nothing to do with the Libya attacks and comparing that to Ronald Reagan and George Bush, Libya had asked for extra security, not Libya but the ambassador, and they were denied. Big difference, my friends.
We, the elderly people in Dunbar without computers, want to express our heartfelt thanks to our faithful mail carriers for the many things they do for us despite all kinds of weather.
West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen needs to find and recruit a good field goal, extra point and punt kicker for our team.
It's about time that someone woke up in Morgantown. The burden of these riots at the university should have been placed on the students a long time ago. If they make the mess, they pay to clean it up. You'd think that the students would be a little smarter than this.
Yes, I am so tired of political comments. We're never going to see eye to eye -- religion or politics -- so forget it.
Will the sportswriters please give the head football coach at Riverside enough wins so he'll be the most winningest coach and quit and resign and give these boys a chance to win some ballgames up there at Riverside?
Mitt Romney is a bully. From tackling and cutting off the hair of a classmate to his frantic shouting down opponents in many debates, literally saying, "I get to speak first." This man should not be president.
To the reader that was wanting to know about why was Chick-fil-A at South Charleston's homecoming parade, I'm sorry folks, but I don't think you have any say so as to who's in the parade and who's not, much less who's advertising and who's not.
If Mitt Romney is elected president, I hope he stands up to foreign leaders for our rights just like he stood up to Jim Lehrer for his rights in the debate.
Dudes and dudettes, is there anyone out there other than me who thinks that Romney has dyed his hair?

Republican politicians' rambling rhetoric in place of answering a question they don't want to answer is an art they have mastered and the media lets them get away with it.
Believe it or not, you aren't required to turn right on red; and every time you do that, forcing me to slam on the brakes when I have the green light and the right of way, yeah, your tailgater will be me.
Kudos for the transplant story. It is refreshing in the maddening time to see something besides bad news. The Gazette is in a class by itself, a great class.
The liberals are slow learners. They don't realize the more they fuss about Chick-fil-A the more business the company gets. They complain about free advertising when their complaints are the best advertising the company could get during these political times.
Yes, coal industry employment was at its highest when Obama took office. It's been on a steady decline since then. Giving Obama credit for those first couple months of high employment numbers makes as much sense as awarding him the Noble Peace Prize before his bags were unpacked in the White House.
Poor John. He poisons a few miles of his neighbor's stream and the guy turns him in. John said there is way too much regulation. I thought he meant the coal mines, but guess it is closer to home. That's the kind of person everyone needs to represent them. Poor John.
While it has been largely ignored by the socialist media who have his back, I think the most telling remark during the first presidential debate and which sums up his philosophy and time in office was when President Obama slipped and said he wanted to give people their fair share.
Enough with the pink already. We are all "aware." One month of nonstop political correctness is over the top.
Jack Welch should get over himself. He's no longer at GE where everyone agrees with him or else they get fired.
When one owns a dog and takes it off their own property to walk anywhere else, that person is responsible for picking up and disposing of any dog poop. No one wants to walk through your dog's poop. This means sidewalks, hiking trails, neighbor's yards, etc. Please take responsibility for your own pet. Others will notice and follow your example.
Calling the Clay Center is a farce. Why don't the people who answer the phones know what is going on? Last time I'll ever go there.
Romney believes those receiving Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, veterans' benefits, unemployment, welfare, and food stamps to be worthless. He has made a fortune closing factories and taking away the livelihood of workers. No one in the working class should support him.
Thank you, Mayor Jones and the city of Charleston, for that car show. I really enjoyed it. I came down from Morgantown. I really loved it. That car near the Ramada Inn was awesome. It shook my wheelchair. Please do it again.
