If you want to find a politician who will "work for you," ask him or her to give up their pay for one year. Bet you will not find one who will.
I read in the newspaper about a student who had been bullied at school over the past year. I thought our schools had a zero-tolerance policy for bullying.
So my choices are four more disastrous years of Obama policies or back to four more years of disastrous Bush/Cheney policies? For those of us who don't have (D) or (R) tattoos it's hard to see a winning hand.
Mr. Romney you have no right to complain that 30 cents of every dollar is borrowed when you have the bulk of your $200 million dollars in the Cayman Islands and Switzerland to keep from paying U.S. income tax and helping us middle class people pay down the deficit. That is very un-American for a millionaire who wants to be President of the United States.
I can't find anyone at all that can tell me what Shelley Moore Capito has done for her district. Can you?
I am so sick of all these people condemning Obama when little waggly-tail George Bush down in Crawford, Texas, made all this mess and now he can't find anyone else to post the blame off on.
I don't understand why West Virginia's biggest leading newspaper would keep endorsing and sponsoring the same people that's kept our state for 40 years either in last place or second place to be the worst in the United States. I'd think they'd want somebody new and endorse somebody new to pull us out of this rut a little bit.
Remember the Wendy's commercial, "Where's the Beef?" Well, West Virginia, "Where's the Defense?" Welcome to the Big 12, boys.
The definition of a modern coal miner would be a person who forgot or never understood how hard his parents/grandparents fought for what he is earning today.
I haven't seen any of those Dutch Miller-Kia commercials here lately. Wonder what's up with that?
We're paying $17 million for a coach who is coaching a team, embarrassing our state and an athletic director who just got a new contract getting us into a conference out of our league. Come on, man.
Last Saturday was an absolute wonderful day to be a Marshall Thundering Herd fan, any way you look at it.
Bill Stewart is smiling from ear to ear looking down on Dana Holgorsen, telling all Mountaineer fans, I tried to tell you so. Karma is wonderful.
Move Joe DeForest to special teams coach and let Steve Dunlap coach defense. At least he had a defense that was number one in the country at one time. He knows something about defense.
Did I infer incorrectly, or did some elitist John Adams parent really insult kids who have "middle-class values?" If that's your attitude, then by all means move your family to South Hills. The last thing those "middle-class" kids need is your privileged, arrogant son or daughter looking down on them.
Right-wing nuts keep harping about Obama going against the Constitution. Where were they when George W. Bush and the GOP Congress passed the Patriot Act, which robs us of more of our rights than any other law or presidential order in history.

To the [reader] who says that partisans on both sides are right when they say the other side will lead us to ruin are very likely correct and so the [reader] is correct. We are in greater danger of a totalitarian government than ever before in history.
Hey Toto, we're not in the Big East any more.
I hope your paper keeps up with the story in Summersville where the old man passed a school bus and hit a little girl. I bet you $1,000 he doesn't spend a day in jail.
Finally, Charleston has a Gay Men's Chorale. Their concert on Oct. 20 was wonderful. These people are really talented. If you missed the concert you missed something pretty special. But they are having another concert on Dec. 15. I recommend it to anybody.
First it was a Catholic priest, next it was Mr. Sandusky of Penn State. Now we have a Boy Scout scandal. What is this country coming to?
The person who called in that if Obama is re-elected, coal mines would be shut down, their Bibles and guns taken away is an uneducated idiot and a fool.
Mountaineers. No defense, no offense, no show. We're just lucky we didn't have to pay millions to get into this league. We've got a new motto for the Mountaineers -- Let Go Mountaineers, Let Go.
Sunday's Life and Style article about more students than ever seeking treatment for mental illness and emotional disorders such as depression and anxiety and substance abuse: Could it be that secularism isn't serving America as well as liberals would have us believe?
If Romney should win the presidency, I wonder how excited he will be to know that the Democrats have two goals for him: 1) Vote no on everything he supports and 2) Make sure he is a one-term president. He should be treated the same way Republicans in Congress have treated Obama.
To the honest person who found my son's iPod and turned it in: Thank You and God bless!
Romney sent thousands of jobs to China. He put his own pocketbook ahead of the thousands of workers he laid off during his Bain Capital disgrace. Why won't he let the American people see what is in his tax returns? Just what is he hiding there? Let's give him an early retirement to one of his many palatial homes ...
If you like Etch-a-Sketch Mitt's current position, you should vote for him as soon as possible, because that position will probably change many times before Election Day.
I agree with the Republican who is sick of Republican politicians saying they're against abortion, but never doing anything about it. They will no longer get my vote until they actually do something about it. I won't vote Democrat, but Republicans have taken advantage of me for the last time.
Fact-checkers blew holes in Obama's support of equal pay for women. Women in the Obama administration are paid 18 percent less than men doing the same work. Once again, his supporters believe anything that comes out of his mouth.
There is only one surefire way to improve the educational system. Schools must have the right to discipline students. Parents do not teach their children respect and obedience, and not even the finest teacher can teach a kid who won't sit down, shut up, and listen.
