Can someone explain to me why West Virginia votes the same people into office year after year, when we know there are better people to serve? This "because they are Dems" just doesn't cut it anymore.
Kudos to Mr. Booten for his article about the equally quality education program provided at SCHS. This notion that GW is better than SC is just that: a notion.
Patrick Morrisey will not enforce the law, which is his constitutionally mandated duty. He will represent the wealthy out-of-state corporations and sell West Virginia.
We Christians voted for Obama because voting Republican is not the solution to abortion because they have never done anything about it in the 40 years it has been legal. In fact, they've never even tried. Obama cares about the poor, who are mentioned over 2,000 times in the Bible.
I was sure Jeb Bush would find some missing votes to steal the election for Romney, like he did for George 12 years ago. Then I realized, if Romney won, Bush III could not run in 2016.
The day after President Obama won the election, Republican John Boehner said House Republicans won't approve any plan that makes the rich pay more tax. They are still determined to push our country over the "fiscal cliff."
I sure hope "ObamaCare" will cover the Prozac for all these West Virginians that are freaking out over the president's re-election.
Now the GOP has to realize that their far-right policies will cause them to suffer more national defeats.
Maybe, finally, the GOP will go back to being the party of fiscal responsibility and reasonable smaller government, and get away from the tea party wackos.
Hello, defense, it's called tackling -- bringing an opponent to the ground to halt progress.
Well, another wasted Saturday afternoon watching Ollie's Follies. Being top dog in the so-so Big East would have been a lot better than laughingstock of the Big 12. We need Marshall back on the schedule so we'll at least have one win a year.
When George Bush won, he bragged that he had political capital and he was going to spend it. Yet when Obama wins, you say that 51 percent is not a mandate. Yes, it is. He won. The election could not be bought.

And after billions were spent on the "most important election in history," I, a DOH employee, still qualify for food stamps.
Billions of dollars spent on trashy political ads paid for by wealthy executives funded by the Bush-era tax cuts. Tax cuts that were supposed to create jobs and stop any future recessions. If they can afford to pay for garbage like that than surely they can afford higher tax rates.
The "experts" tell us we must avoid the "fiscal cliff" so our economy will not contract and our unemployment will not rise. So we stay on an unsustainable path of $1 trillion deficits to avoid any pain for our excesses? Quite a dilemma we have gotten ourselves in.
Christian Republicans also did irreparable damage to their witnesses by telling those who questioned George W. Bush's Christianity that we shouldn't judge and then they did the same thing to Obama who is the only president in my lifetime who said he was saved by the blood of Jesus.
After Big Coal, Morrisey, Tomblin and Manchin are gone, what will the Mountain State be called? You guessed it -- Mount Trashmore.
Nobody likes tax increases, but I have trouble understanding the GOP position. They say, if the U.S. takes in less money with tax cuts, the U.S. will have more money. If that works, then I think I'll quit my job so I can be rich.
OK, Republicans. We admit it. Obama's a Muslim, was born in Kenya, is a socialist, took communist courses in college, is good friends with hundreds of terrorists, is going to kill coal, attacked the Libyan embassy himself, hates America and his feet stink. I'd move to Canada, if I were you.
I think the Koch brothers should demand that Karl Rove take a drug test.
Isn't it just the funniest thing that the states put so much money into banning synthetic marijuana and anything closely related to it, and now the real deal is about to be on the coffee table across America.
Let's see, if I remember my history, it was Nero who reportedly fiddled during the fall of Rome. I guess we can listen as Obama sings.
