That's some God you believe in, who vindictively sends a devastating superstorm, wreaking havoc on families and doing billions of dollars worth of damage along the East Coast because He doesn't want America to re-elect Barack Obama. What you have done is attribute the forces of nature to a God whose reasoning and motivations sound a lot like your own thoughts and imagination.

The insurance and drug companies he answers to don't care about signs or anything else in the state. As long as he lets them operate any way they want.

If I were the feds and had to put up with all this blame the West Virginia leaders are accusing them of, I would cut all ties to [the state] and let them pay for everything.

I would love to see a few of the states drop out of the Union because their leaders would be dead in less than a year. These states pay less to the feds than they get so when the government cuts all their Social Security, shuts down all the military bases and all federal payments to them, they would be flat broke.

I wish Gayle Manchin could have been the sacrificial lamb at the education board. The schools of this state would never notice her absence. Without Jorea, they have no hope of succeeding. Bring any good ol' boy you want, he can't fix it. ... Thank you to the women who resigned to make a stand for what's right.

Even when Congress passes a bill requiring mandatory spending cuts, they find a way to make it go away when the actual cuts are ready to kick in. They are simply incapable of ever closing the large gap between government revenue and expenses. Nobody wants to deliver any bad news so they wait for it to engulf us.

To those of you saying the Democrats are responsible for our budget deficit, let me take you back to 2000. Between 2000 and 2004, George W. Bush, and a GOP Congress, passed unfunded Drug Plan D, involved us in two unfunded wars, and gave the rich a tax break they didn't need. These stupid acts caused us to go from having a $357 billion surplus to being a debtor nation. Facts are facts, live with it.

Two items of importance in the news media this week. Item 1 -- several dozen states, including West Virginia, have shone interest in seceding from the Union because of the re-election of President Obama. Item 2 --Senator Manchin and Governor Tomblin, both Democrats, publicly said they could not support the election of President Obama, and have asked the president to help W.Va., with additional disaster relief in his 2013 budget. What a farce in both accounts!

This comment is for West Virginia Water Company out here off of Poca River Road in Putnam County. They have no trouble ever coming out to cut off a person's water if they are one month behind but they will allow water to run freely for over a week and a half out here on Poca River Road because an employee forgot to put a cap on it. Just looking at the big picture.

For eight years we were blessed with President Bush's leadership. Now we are cursed for eight years with Obama's careless ways which are going to economically and morally destroy our nation.

Why in the world would a woman want to continue loving a man who mistreats her and cheats on her? Why in the world would she want to keep on staying with him? It doesn't make sense. Please someone answer this for me.

I just wonder how long the people of the United States are going to take this. I can't make over $15,000 because I'm getting Social Security, but our President makes over half a million dollars just in salary, his retirement, all the former presidents and vice presidents, all the cabinet members. When is America just going to wake up and see what's happening to us?

I'm a senior and my Humana Health Insurance sent me a 600 page manual plus a 30 page magazine plus several letters to explain my benefits plus another letter saying my coverage was being terminated and assigned to another carrier. My doctor's office said it's designed to confuse old people. I believe my doctor.

Dr. Marple got a taste of her own medicine. She hired and fired based on politics and the union presidents do not speak for this teacher. I am glad she has been fired.
