Wade Linger, in his Sunday column, says the educational culture and environment has remained stagnant for years. How many years has he served as president of the state Board Of Education? Maybe HE is the one who is stagnant?

If Obama should be impeached for Benghazi, then Bush and Cheney should be tried for war crimes against the people of Iraq. The reason you don't hear anything from Bush and Cheney is because they know they committed war crimes and they are in hiding. The two of them created more damage to the USA than any Democrat or Republican president can fix for years to come.

To the reader requesting one specific time when Mitt Romney lied. He lied when he said he could reduce the deficit, and at the same time reduce everyone's taxes 20 percent. He lied saying Chrysler was moving Jeep production to China. He lied when he said Obama was cutting the work requirements from welfare. He lied when he said he supported the auto industry and the middle class. He lied about Benghazi. These are only a few examples. I could probably fill this entire page.

To the jealous Marshall fan who in the 11/26 Readers' Voice thanked every team who beat WVU this year: It must be sad to live vicariously through other teams who got the job done that you never could get done. Remember this: 0-12. Oh, and what bowl game are you going to this year?

In light of the BOE's firing of Jorea Marple, I would like to take back the vote I cast for Joe Manchin, as well as the one I cast for Earl Ray Tomblin. I must have been given a drink of the Obama Kool-Aid. I was on the fence about Manchin, I sure wish the BOE had done their dirty deed before the election. The outcome may have been considerable different. Earl Ray needs to remove the Manchin gang from their little BOE clubhouse.

Somewhere close to $7 million is being spent in Morgantown on head coach and assistant salaries for football and basketball. We used to get much better results for a whole lot less. Maybe it will take $10 million before we finally hit bottom.

Re: Phil Kabler's comment regarding state employees and five-day workweeks. For someone who manages to compose only two columns per week for the newspaper, it appears that he only manages one day per week and then some weeks we see a message that he is on vacation and will return.

It appears as if our two major athletic programs at WVU have rapidly sunk into a new era of mediocrity. With all of the expensive long-term coaching contracts we may be there for a very long time. Great job Ollie.

Segregation was struck down by the 1954 Brown decision. Now we have an out-of-touch state Board of Education open to segregation. It is time we had an elected West Virginia Board of Education that represents the students and people of West Virginia instead of the Manchin agenda of what the Manchin family feels is best for us.

What is with the immaturity that grown women constantly show these days? A 30-year-old woman had her photo taken giving the middle finger to a sign in Arlington Cemetery that asked for silence and respect. Then she proudly posted it on her Facebook page. Grow up, ladies.
