If people think they have a good enough reason to stand beside the road with a sign, then they should stand still so someone could read the sign. Don't dance around while moving the sign up and down. It defeats the purpose.

What person in their right mind would accept the position of state school superintendent after hearing of the firing of Dr. Jorea Marple? What person would ever work for the current BOE knowing the underhanded methods of the Manchin Five? Who can ever believe what those five say? How can we trust the current BOE with the education and lives of our children?

Shelley Moore Capito's father, Arch A. Moore, is a convicted felon. He pleaded guilty to 5 felony charges and spent 3 years in prison. He gave her a thumbs-up at her public announcement to run for senator. Is the Manchin family repeating the Moore family notoriety? History has a way of repeating itself. Dare we vote for Capito for Senate? No, having Manchin and Capito in Washington together would be a disaster.

Judge Watkins speaks harshly sometimes, but he is perceptive when it comes to domestic abuse. Many don't realize how prevalent abuse is toward women.

A recent headline on the Internet said: "Romney defeat leaves vacuum in GOP leadership." Not so. Rush Limbaugh is the leader of the Republican Party, much to its dismay.

Wonder if the kids in "Buckwild" finished high school and work? Also, how many of them have arrest records?

I am extremely disappointed that our governor, Earl Ray Tomlin hasn't stepped up to make a statement concerning the unethical actions of the Board of Education in the firing of Dr. Marple. Why is he silent?

Has anybody noticed that our newly elected attorney general is looking for a handout from W.Va. businesses and taxpayers to pay a $900,000 loan he made to himself for his campaign? If he wanted to win it so bad he should get the out-of-state PACs to pay him back or just eat it.

Gazette editorials portraying homosexuals as passive, innocent victims of bullying are unfair to young boys who have been bullied into homosexual acts by men in authority at churches, schools, scouts, etc.
