If you don't know why West Virginia is now a "red" state, just ask some of your conservative friends if they know who Grover Norquist is. Nine out of 10 won't know because his name is probably never mentioned on "Fox Distorted News" station. They are very uninformed.

The rest of the world has determined that austerity is needed to rein in their fiscal problems. Here in the good ol' USA, we just keep spending and charging. We act like it doesn't matter and that it will go on forever with no repercussions. Wrong!

Two op-ed comments only serve to enhance the disgrace that coal has brought this state. McDowell County, rich in coal, has the poorest population, and the children suffer. President Obama and the EPA.

Hey, Earl Ray. Let's invest some money into Kanawha State Forest. It's a great place to go.

Well, I wonder how the Dems are going to blame the legalizing marijuana on Bush. Oh, that's right, he isn't president no more. Must be smoking too much.

Bad luck or what? If it weren't for bad luck, West Virginia wouldn't have any luck at all. Not true. They have Oliver Luck.

Praise God! Homosexual issues are front-page Gazette, while lesser issues like the economy, politics, business and crime do good to make section C!

I may fail the Gazette's liberal litmus test on homosexual issues, but I'm glad the West Virginia DMV refused to legalize same-sex marriage in West Virginia. That is a power of the Legislature, not a state agency!

The Democrats are already threatening cuts to the military if they don't get their tax increases. They won't cut off welfare money being wasted on drug addicts and drunks, but they'll risk our national security to get their way.
