Enough already with the stories and comments concerning Dr. Marple's firing. This is little more than a power grab by one group of liberals over another and the general public could not care less.

At least MTV created some jobs for those kids when they came to town to shoot "Buckwild." I am convinced that the leaders of this state turn away more outside investment with their draconian tax policies, provincial cronyism, and crumbling highway system than some silly television show ever would.

12/11/12:  I'd like to say a big thank you to Cliff Jones of Nitro, South Charleston Police, and Jason, driver of AAA Towing Truck for rescuing us on Dec. 6 when our car stopped dead at the four-way stop in South Charleston and would not move. Good Samaritan Cliff Jones, behind us, quickly called police to direct traffic and pushed us out of the way of [other] drivers. ... A Merry Christmas to all these wonderful people.

Did the governor appoint Tom Campbell to the board because he is a "yes" person or because he has the integrity to deal with the dishonesty of the board president and vice president?

To all of you who keep complaining about losing tax credits, etc., try being a single woman with no children. We have never had any help from the government!

When you hear Shelley Capito moan about the federal deficit and debt, remember that she voted for the Paul Ryan budget, which increases the national debt by six trillion dollars over the next decade. The Republicans are all smoke and mirrors. ... The only president in history who balanced the budget was Slick Willy Clinton, and the Republicans impeached him.

Dear third-grade teacher, on Dec. 9 Phil Kabler wrote, "Allegations ... are difficult to collaborate." You must have been my third-grade teacher because I learned early on that trustworthy journalists must 'corroborate' statements ... by interviewing more than one source. Reporters may collaborate with each other on a story, but no one can "collaborate" allegations. Thank you, teacher.
