To the mayor of St. Albans: Please cut the tree limbs along MacCorkle Avenue that hang over the street and the entrance to the bridge. What is wrong with you? Save someone's life.

In memory of Robert C. Byrd, the West Virginia senator: The only regret that I have in life is that I only have one life to give for West Virginia. Amen.
Sen. Manchin is a very honest person, but the slumlords in Charleston are so dishonest that they would murder one person to keep their own slimy integrity. People who kill need to go to prison. They have a lot of mental health issues here also.
Only 18,000 people at a Marshall home football game? Wow. How sad. What bowl is Marshall going to this year?
I think the prevailing-wage law that the unions pushed through is hurting West Virginia just as much as the closed shop. Maybe some day we will wake up and put a stop to all this nonsense.
Shelley Moore Capito's gift of a bucket of coal and a huge book of petitions that she delivered to Obama at the White House says it all. She has more spunk and backbone than Rahall, Manchin and Rockefeller combined.
When I saw images of the Obamas on their vacation, it makes me sick. There are millions of Americans who are struggling horribly. He hasn't done enough work to take a vacation. It is all about him.
Armed guards in school would add thousands of jobs. Pay for it with the money that is wasted in Washington on political parties.
I love Christmas lights, but sadly they remind me of people who voted for Obama: They all hang together, half of them don't work, and the others are not very bright.
Why haven't we heard from first responders and law enforcement about getting assault rifles off of the street? They should be out front talking about these weapons. What is the problem?

I agree that all politicians should have been locked up until a deal is made to avoid the fiscal cliff. It is evident they want to go over it, especially Obama. Republicans can't please Obama no matter what.
I realize the guy who writes "Doonesbury" is a propagandist for the Democratic national party, but does he have to be an atheist too? There is absolutely no reason for that so-called comic strip to be in the Daily Mail.
Unions like to support the Democrats. They feel that a woman has the right to choose to kill a baby, but they are against a worker's right to choose to join their union. What gives?
Every parent needs to read the "Food Guy" column in Wednesday's paper. I work in a restaurant and I know a lady with four towheaded kids who come in and run around and scream, and she thinks it is funny. We do not. I have also seen this lady in a local drugstore with them screaming and running around, and the people who work there don't appreciate it either.
What makes you people think that Medicare is entirely paid for? If you paid $200 into the system it doesn't mean you are entitled to $2,000.
Will the person who called in and said they had ancestors in the Civil War who fought for the South please contact the SCV camp or go to www.scv.org.
To the unintelligent fan of Marshall who said Marshall will look fantastic next to WVU next year, remember one thing: zero and 12, baby. You play in a little league at a lower level of competition in a crackerjack small stadium you can't even fill in good weather. You are jealous wimps who are more concerned with our losses than your wins, and you always will be.
We have a social problem in this country. People didn't use to behave this way. Ask why and do something, and don't smooth it over by making excuses.
As I read my Scriptures I found a beautiful verse, Psalm 33:12: "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord."
What will it take to stop the late-night drug dealing and partying at the Blue Creek boat ramp? I've called the police and they won't do anything, and neither will the DNR. What is the next step I can take?
