Grover Norquist is more powerful than anyone in the West Virginia delegation to our federal government. I used to think senators and representatives were extremely powerful.

To the person complaining about AEP's response to outages and three months waiting on streetlight repair, I have been trying to get the two streetlights that border my home repaired for four years, so good luck with that. AEP is the worst-run company in this state. Maybe Congress is in control of AEP.

Why do they keep saying trooper when they mention the man that got thrown from the car when the lady was shoplifting? Yes she did wrong but the man was off duty and out of uniform. I consider him just another person when not on the job. Are they trying to get the people against the lady even more? Are they going to charge her with hurting an officer? I feel this is wrong, How did she know he was a trooper?

Why do we even have an Ethics Commission? It exempts everyone from the rules.

Re-routing Jefferson Road across Davis Creek and out to the RR crossing would create a single four-way intersection eliminating the need for the second stoplight at the foot of Tech Center hill. Fewer light changes would speed up traffic flow. How long will it take the state "engineers" to study this and figure it out?

Congress is completely incapable of enacting significant budget cuts. It is not in their DNA. They are far more comfortable being America's full-time Santa Claus than they are being a Grinch when necessary. They can't even allow cuts they themselves passed into law last year to take place. ... We continue to live in fairytale land while we await the big crash.

As an older American, I feel if we do not get these do-nothing, self-serving politicians out of Washington, this country doesn't stand a chance. The American people need to wake up. The only way we can limit their terms is to vote them out because they sure won't do it themselves.

Piers Morgan is not a U.S. citizen and hence he has no right whatsoever to criticize our government or "We the People." If he doesn't like it here he does have the right to take his backside back across the pond and stay there. He is a guest and he can certainly leave at any time. Maybe he should worry about his country and keep his stuffy nose out of our business.

So Dr. Marple files a lawsuit because she's upset by her firing as a will and pleasure employee. How many times did she fire or demote employees without a fair hearing or even explanation? Lawsuits have a way of bringing out ugly truths on both sides. Don't ask if you don't want to know.
