I am a die-hard Democrat who proudly says I didn't vote for Obama the first time nor the second time. I wouldn't vote for him if he were the last presidential candidate on the planet.
How come it is when Ohio runs an emergency test, it shows up as a West Virginia television set? We don't live in Ohio, so we should run our own emergency test. It's a real nuisance.
I would like to applaud the superintendent of Jackson Middle School in Jackson, Ohio. It's about time we stood up against these non-believers. Amen.
To the person who took enjoyment in the West Virginia loss: What was the score of Marshall's bowl game this year? Merry Christmas.
Teays Valley Road looks so nice since they came through and picked up all the trash. Please, let's keep it that way.
To the [reader] who said the best Christmas present was when West Virginia got beat: Well, the best present for me was that Marshall wasn't even in a bowl game to watch.
Some people last week got a glimpse of what the taxes are going to do to their paycheck. Some will find out this week. Like a lot of us, my husband works at Alpha and they increased how much we have to pay out of pocket for our health care. So all I can think to say is thank you to the Obama administration.
After Alabama's bam bam on Notre Dame, sadly Irish eyes are not smiling.
Reading about the pictures of Jesus in the schools, one school system ought to stand up some day and line the halls of every famous painting of Jesus ever made and tell the ACLU, "I'll take it down as soon as you point out which one it is."
I know some people who are Marshall fans who hate WVU so much they're happier when WVU loses than when Marshall wins. I don't mean when they play each other, I mean whomever they play. I just don't get it.

I met with a representative of one of the large investment firms in the Charleston area and was told that if I didn't have more than $100,000 to invest, they didn't want my business. Does anyone know of an investment group that would take the business of a small investor?
I'm 69 years old and I've listened to the pros and cons of gun control, no gun control and it's going to go forever. Why don't we do what we normally do in a free society -- let's have a one-question referendum nationally: Yes or no, do you believe in the abolishment of the Second Amendment and that civilians have no right to gun ownership? Democrats claim they have a 68 percent polling. Let's just have it and get it done.
Even though my two children attend Horace Mann Middle School, I pick up my niece in the afternoon at George Washington High School. I wonder if the administration knows and sees the group of children that are smoking in the yard of a large house across from the school. They have a policeman at the school and I've been seeing this for a very long time.
Someone called and said individual citizens could not stand against the military. It's happening right now in Afghanistan, where a bunch of people with bathrobes and weapons have created a stalemate with our so-called "invincible military."
More proof that lottery winners should be able to stay anonymous is the Chicago lottery winner who won $1 million and was murdered. Let people remain anonymous.
Since Obama put his Obamacare into effect my supplemental on my insurance since I'm a retired senior citizen has gone up 2 1/2 percent. It has more than doubled so we can take care of the more than 47 percent that he's taking care of.
I know two preachers who are actually on total disability who voted against Obama and two class leaders in our church in the country who are on total disability. Now if Mr. Obama would take away that disability, what would they say?
