You know concerning the immigration policies in this country, [and] just like any other law: Illegal is illegal, whether it be immigration, gun control, deficit, whatever you want to call it. They need to send these people back and let them come here the way they're supposed to.

To the [reader] who was talking about the foreign aid that's being sent to other countries, and you're saying it's only a mere 1 percent, well that 1 percent is millions of dollars. Check out the website if you don't believe that.

If you people would slow down and pay attention when you're driving, maybe less animals would be killed in the road. I can't count how many squirrels, chipmunks and other animals that I've seen hit in the road. Stop talking on your cellphones and pay attention.

After 30 years in public service trying to undo what his great grandfather did, Jay Rockefeller is formally leaving office. Those complaining about Obama supposedly violating the Constitution should read the so-called "Patriot Act" that George W. Bush pushed through a GOP Congress. The government can monitor your phone calls and read your emails, all without a warrant. This is a direct violation of the Fourth Amendment, but I don't hear any conservative "patriots" screaming about this. Until then you have no validity criticizing Obama about the Constitution.

The NRA's proposal concerning keeping the mentally ill from buying guns could backfire, as many of those who have to have hundreds of guns are probably mentally ill. That would really hurt their membership dues, which is what they really are about, money.

How unfortunate that many of us have "followed" Rick Johnson all these years and so quickly he was taken off the air. I cannot imagine what Raese was thinking to keep Agnello? ... I have not listened to Agnello since he used language I disapproved of and was very unprofessional. Weekly's program is a complete bore. What a shame for WCHS to go so far down.

To the proud Democrat who did not vote for Obama in either election: You may be registered as a Democrat, but you're no Democrat. You're a DINO, and don't have the ethics or morals to register as a Republican.

I see where the Constitution will be read aloud as the U.S. House of Representatives convenes. That will fall on deaf ears.

John McCain apparently doesn't like the idea that our involvement in Afghanistan will come to an end after only 13 years.

Here are some pro-regulation agencies that need backing to fight the NRA: Americans for Responsible Solutions, Priorities USA Action, MomsRising and Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

I too am a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat and I voted for President Obama twice and would vote for him again if he could run again because he is returning the "Government of the People" to the people, instead of the ... CEOs.

How can we play "soldier" without an M-16? How would we defend ourselves against rampaging deer? We must oppose any assault weapons ban!

What a party! The Republican Party is truly astounding. It tried to kill the American auto industry. It hates science and refuses to recognize global warming. It denies evolution.  The heart of the party is the Old Confederacy in the South, a region of the country that has seldom stood for progress. And West Virginia has signed onto this ignorance. 

We truly have become a nation of whiners. You would think everyone expected the Social Security payroll tax that had been lowered by 2 percent for three years to never go back up. Be glad you had a "holiday" for three years (one longer than originally intended) and find something else to complain about. You would really have something to stress about if you were being asked to pay the full cost of our government. That bill is going to your children.

I wonder how much coverage the news would give if I formed a group to protest the use of tax money to buy alcohol for all of these inaugurations? That is against my beliefs and I don't think my money should be used to fund it. ACLU interested in helping me?

I had absolutely no intention of watching "Buckwild" until Senator Manchin began running his mouth about it. I watched the first two and now I don't plan to miss an episode.

I can't believe that some Republicans actually are interested in shutting down the United States government. Such a position is not only immoral, it is treasonous criminal talk. If our government's representatives are not smart enough to keep our government running, they should be automatically removed from their so-called jobs. If I didn't do my job, I'd be fired.

To all you people giving Obamacare such a rough time, saying it's increased this and increased that since it was put into law, well, if you would read your law, it does not go into full effect until 2014. Only bits and pieces have gone into effect so far. So make sure you know what you're talking about before you blab.

WCHS radio, 580, has lost me as a listener since Rick Johnson was dismissed. He was the best and most dedicated host on that station. What a loss. I hope others quit listening also.
