After having a parent who is physically impaired, I discovered a gas bill that was behind. I called the gas company and they informed me if I did not pay it that my mother's gas would be turned off. She is on oxygen, an invalid, and this is very, very upsetting.
Years from now politicians will still be saying we need to cut the deficit and get our fiscal house in order. It's all talk with these people as we swiftly head toward the time when our fiscal house collapses around us. Politicians cannot speak the truth because they know people cannot handle the truth. It's all about getting re-elected.
Memo to Grover Norquist: The president is not 'spending like crazy,' Congress authorizes all expenditures. Please direct your complaints to the proper section of government.
I see where the NRA will not allow gun regulations to be passed and I wonder when they have become an elected office. The NRA is a radical group with an agenda to make more money for their leaders by creating anarchy. Everybody that buys a military assault rifle should be put in the military instantly.
I sincerely hope a baseball scholarship will be established at West Virginia State University in memory of trooper Eric Workman, who was killed in the line of duty. I understand that he was a standout on their baseball team and also a graduate of WVSU. He was a fine young man whose life was cut way too short and deserves this tribute.
Yeah, why do they put police officers on administrative leave after they kill someone? Well, they just need time to clean their gun and put a notch into the handle. So that takes a little while so then they put them back on duty.
To the [reader] who stated if you're going to hang Jesus' portrait in a school then you need to hang Obama's in a church, that's the day you know the antichrist has entered the building.
A number of people have called Reader's Voice and said that only the police and the military should have automatic rifles. When you're having a home invasion in Charleston, I hope you have a safe place to go, because it's going to take the Charleston Police at least two hours to get there.
When the government wants to pass measures like on gun control, I just cringe because measures have the connotation of taking away freedom.
Folks who live in the country should keep their dogs quiet at night. Their working neighbors would like to get some sleep.
