I almost cried until I realized I am knocking on 60 years of age and won't be dealing with Earl Ray's bold plans for education. Has he ever taught even so much as Sunday school? Until parents become the owners of their child's education and future: "I repeat, I am retiring."

You're right about texting causing all the little chipmunks and squirrels to get run over. Every one of them I saw along the road today that had been hit had a little squirrel or a little chipmunk iPhone in their little paws.
I just came up with an idea. Let's give Sandra Fluke a loaded weapon and put her in charge of the president's kids. That way she can pay him for the birth control he's buying for her.
I would be proud to have Joe Manchin run for and win the presidency. I think that he is exactly what a politician should be -- a voice of reason and a voice for the people. I like him because he doesn't blindly follow his party's politics. He votes for what is right over his party. He places the interests of his state and his constituents over those of his party and Washington. That is his job .... Good job, Joe.
We do not care what Lance Armstrong has to say. He is a cheater. Nor do we care what Kim Kardashian says .... And last but not least, we do not care what Obama has to say because he is a moron.
A lot of you anti-gun people out there think that the police and the military can protect you. They can't and they won't. You have a nice day now, you hear?
The college students who created the instant garden need to do some basic research on the dangers of using tires as planters.
Well come on, you good old West Virginia boys, and let's have a big old rally so we can show every nation in the world how really stupid and ignorant we are about gun control. Five people already killed by the police in West Virginia. ... I don't know how many more have been shot just by ignorant people carrying guns, so let's everybody get a gun and start shooting.

If [Dr. Jorea Marple] is so interested in the children, she ought to go away quietly and accept her resignation.
Which channel entertains us with the most animal kills? I never felt sorry for a python until now.
Oliver Luck should be fired. West Virginia cannot play football or basketball in the Big 12, which is evident.
I was getting some plans reviewed at the state fire marshal's office, and there was someone sitting at their desk doing arts and crafts, cutting stuff out and pasting it on different things. It seems to me that if they didn't have state work to do, they could just go on home and do their arts and crafts. I wonder why the fire marshal allows this, especially when they're trying to save money.
To the [reader] who said Pat White should come back in the NFL because now that San Francisco has a running quarterback he should consider another shot at the NFL. Let's face it. He couldn't cut it when he had a shot. He's just not an NFL player. And what happened to Jock Sanders and Noel Devine? All these former superstars can't seem to cut it in the NFL. I wonder if Tavon will even make it.
If we're going to take the guns away from law-abiding Americans, does that mean we're going to continue to supply arms through the Fast and Furious program to the Mexican drug lords?
I'm all for banning the sale of assault weapons as well as large magazine clips. However, it is about 30 years too late to make any measurable difference. Millions of these weapons are already in circulation and everyone who wants one has one. At this point it would only be feel good legislation with no real impact on future killings.
Eroding morality and the influence of violent media are to blame for a recent rash of incidents. The issue comes down to moral relativism. We now have a generation of people who grew up exposed to violence, be it video games or movies. There's also a lack of respect for authority. We see it in classrooms, on the streets, everywhere.
With all the footage the news crew gets during interviews and on-scene reporting, do they really have to keep repeating the clips? It is really very annoying to see the same clip three or four times during a news report.
