I see nothing wrong with students being required to wear uniforms or proper attire to school. They buy the wretched clothes they wear now so why can't they buy clothes that are proper and fit themselves? Do they want another handout?

The people of every state do not elect their senators and congressmen to serve so that they will blindly follow party politics or a president. We elect them to promote the best interest of our state and our citizens' points of view. Any member of Congress who supports a party or president over the wishes of their constituents is failing to do the job that they were elected to and are derelict in their duty.

People seem to forget history. FDR's New Deal and spending were floundering and not working until the war came along. The defense spending and the war effort is what brought us out of the Depression, not the spending of the New Deal.

To the DINO who says he did not vote for Obama because he didn't worship socialism, Marxism or fascism. You should get out your dictionary and look up the meaning of those words, because if you voted for Romney, you voted for fascism.

To the [people] who say they will not live under any executive orders from President Obama. You lived under the 291 executive orders George W. Bush signed, and some of those affected your Constitutional rights, so why weren't you crying then? Hypocrites.

Perhaps we should fund armed guards for our schools with a special fee on gun and ammunition sales equal to what that would cost. Then it would be "revenue neutral," and not contribute to the deficit. Since that is the only solution the NRA would support, they could show us just how sincere they are about it.

It is no easy task to achieve National Teacher Certification. You post a small paragraph citing the number (61) achieving it, yet you post the names, addresses and shoe sizes of all the lawyers admitted to practice law in the state of West Virginia.

Will the NRA provide the funds to pay the salaries of all the police the organization wants the school systems to hire, or do they expect taxpayers to pay for it?

I agree the only way to fix Congress is to rid it of the career politicians and ban lawyers from serving. There is no reason to have such long-worded laws. The fluff and pork need to be cut. If you want a law passed, simply make it simple and strictly pertain to the issue at hand. Lawyers like to make things convoluted to ensure job security.  Remember the old acronym: KISS for "Keep It Simple Stupid."
