No wonder men don't want to work anymore. It's too easy to get welfare benefits. But God bless those who deserve it and get it.
Since Huggins doesn't know what is wrong with his team, I will tell him. When you constantly blame, belittle, berate and get into the heads of players (and not in a good way), you can expect this to happen. It's a wonder they can still tie their shoes. You should be glad you inherited some smart players who knew how to play. At least you could pretend for a few years until they all graduated.
I'm trying to understand just how the Republican Party is supposed to be in such disarray when they won 49 percent of the vote with the most uninspiring candidate in history. If the Republicans had supplied even a mediocre candidate, they would have won in a landslide. Fifty-one to 49 is in no way even close to a mandate.
That's all we need, armed teachers in schools. What if the armed teacher has a mental problem and decides to attack the children? By having arms already in the schools, we are exposing the children to more risk. Stupid.
To the gun nuts supposedly worried about damage to the Constitution: Where were you when the greatest damage to our Constitution, the Patriot Act, was passed? You are apparently not worried that the government can monitor your phone calls, emails and other facets of your private business. Don't come crying now about losing your rights; we don't want to hear it.
The reason the turnout in Lincoln County was so low this election was because -- for the first time -- the Democrats couldn't get the dead people's votes to count. If ever there was a good reason to have a voter ID law in place, the Democrats in Lincoln County are the poster children for it. There are none more crooked.
I just watched Bob Huggins and the Mountaineers get whipped by Purdue. I feel sorry for those guys because they do not need to be in the big leagues. Holgorsen and Huggins need to move on with their lives and take Oliver Luck with them. The state did better without them. Remember Pitt, Penn State, Virginia Tech and all the others? The games were so much fun, and we traveled to a lot of them. I wish we had those teams back again with the Mountaineers. I love those Mounties but not Luck, Holgorsen and Huggins.
The former employees of Kanawha County Solid Waste Authority would like to let you know that we did not receive any severance package for all the years of service when we were let go. They tried to trick a few into signing a resignation to beat them out of what was owed them. We were not allowed to take any personal days or sick days or vacation time for about a year and lost them -- then the same this year. We only got our vacation pay when we were terminated, and they were sweet-talking everybody not to pull our retirement out.
According to FBI statistics, only about half of the people killed are done so with rifles. However, I see no reason for assault rifles. Abortion, on the other hand, kills all babies.

I have Comcast cable and am wondering why WSAZ audio volume is so much higher than anything else on the air.
Thanks for Robert Samuelson's reminder of what greatness is all about. So glad Harry Truman made the top 10. He represents how the humble common man attains greatness.
Shelley Capito would have no threat from Caperton regarding the Senate race. All he has to do is open his mouth and you know who is the smarter and more statesmanlike. We should be proud of the Republicans we send to Washington, D.C.
To the dolts that say they will not live under any executive orders from President Obama: You lived under the 291 executive orders George W. Bush signed, and some of those affected your constitutional rights, so why weren't you crying then?
Since Manti Te'o will become a multimillionaire in a few months, I would sure like to talk to him about some beautiful oceanfront property that is available in Putnam County.
Obama missed an excellent opportunity to show his sincerity at getting our country's financial affairs in order. He could have nixed plans for the vanity celebration of being allowed another term in office. Our country desperately needs some indication that he wants to do something about our dire financial condition. No government or person should spend money frivolously. There comes a time when one has to live down to a price, and that time is now.
We had a candidate who knew how to create jobs and was concerned about the economy and debt we have incurred during the past four years. He was also a friend of Israel. Are people so stupid that they get their information from the liberal news media? Their interest seems to be more about Hollywood than our national debt. I dread to think of what the next four years will bring.
