To the Ted Nugent hero-worshipers out there: You've been misled. All you have to do is Google Ted Nugent draft dodger and see for yourself. He dodged the draft for Vietnam, now he wants to lead a revolution over President Obama and the gun issue. Yeah, right. He had a chance to fight, and passed it up. If you served in Iraq or Afghanistan or anywhere, and are a supporter of this guy, you have been deceived.
With all of the hazards and banning of smoking these days why is it permitted to advertise the electronic cigarettes as seen on TV?
In 1996 President Clinton signed into law a ban on assault weapons which was initiated by the Reagan administration. I don't remember much protest about this from all the gun nuts. Now it is as though you are taking away their children. What has changed? I think it is the radical views of Fox News and the tea party.
Many WV State employees work every minute of their time on the clock. Without extra pay, some of us come in early, stay over, and work through breaks and lunch. As taxpayers we much too often experience the same displeasure as the reader who commented about state employees putting screws to the public by playing on company time. Unfortunately, supervisory inaction encourages poor work ethic and poisons the public's perception.
Why do folks claim that reasonable limits to gun ownership will cause our government to morph into some kind of home-invading, mind-controlling, fascist, totalitarian state? Just because opponents of gun regulation repeat this Nazi scenario over and over doesn't make it true. Do arm yourselves with reason and facts, not the poison of paranoia, and don't underestimate the American spirit.
If we are thinking of replacing the state song we need to consider "West Virginia" by Eddy Bailes (a Parkersburg native) and the Cadillacs. If you can listen to it without your eyes misting up, you are NOT a true West Virginian. If you no longer reside in West Virginia, it will really make you homesick.
John Boehner, Republican speaker of the House, said that President Obama wants to annihilate the Republican Party. Considering that the party lost seats in both houses of Congress and the presidency in 2012, I don't think that they need the Presidents help. If not for gerrymandered congressional districts they would be in the minority in the House of Representatives.
Leave Lance alone. His accusers are just jealous because they will never be as good as him.
Obamazombies are trying to blame Bush era Republicans for Benghazi. Don't they realize Obama has been in office for four years now and had plenty of time to make changes in security details? Obama and Hillary dropped the ball and yes it matters to most Americans.
If you think our President Obama is a moron, then by comparison, George W Bush was/is a deranged, dim-witted, feeble-minded, idiotic, and witless imbecile. If Romney had been elected, his republican agenda would have earned him the same descriptions as Bush.
Seems to me Republicans pick and choose what parts of the Constitution they want to uphold as much as they pick and choose what parts of the Bible they want to believe.
It doesn't make much sense that gun nuts protest background checks, considering it an invasion of privacy, but have no objection to the government using the Patriot Act to spy on them. Where is your outrage over that fact?

Again I say, that only a moron would actually think that restricting guns to law-abiding citizens will really decrease crime.
To the reader who said President Obama is a moron, think about this: Who is in the White House, and who is in the Reader's Voice doing the crybaby thing?
I can't believe that anyone who survived eight years under the worst president in history, George W. Bush, could complain about anything that President Obama does, trying to get us out of Bush's mess.
It makes it harder to get good people to run for office when you see the way that AG McGraw and Jorea Marple were ousted out of their jobs. Just buy one out and vote the other one out illegally. So don't make the Manchin mad. Now we just have to figure out whether they are Democrats or Republicans.
How many people are aware that no "assault rifle" was used at Sandy Hook?
Even phony news channel Fox News has given up on Sarah Palin. Maybe now she will fade back to the obscurity she deserves.
President Obama has said that he doesn't want Syria's chemical weapons to fall into the hands of the rebels we're backing there, and Israel has just said that if the U.S.-backed rebels win and gain control of those weapons, they'll be attacked. Assad, whom we're fighting, having control of them doesn't worry us, but the people we're backing having control of them does. Does any of this make sense to anyone?
If you're out in public, and you're spewing right-wing crazy talk so loudly that everyone around you can hear, don't be surprised when someone talks back.
In 2008 the U.S. State Department lost five workers in Iraq. G.W. Bush was president. Where was the outrage from the Republicans in Congress then?
Our government has three branches for a reason. No one branch can take over control of the government. Our so-called educated president doesn't seem to understand this.
